I have always had my favorites here since they were at the location on Hawthorne blvd. Get the island style fried chicken. It's has a sweet hint and crispy wonderful morsels of dark meat.The Korean barbecue beef. Ramen cabbage salad and Mac salad. I have always loved their Mac salad and no other Hawaiian restaurant compares. It's simple with just macaroni salad, mashed potatoes and eggs and not drowned in mayonnaise.I love getting the beach pack for my family or small get togethers...read full review
This is a tried and true place. The island style fried chicken, Chinese chicken salad and spam musubi are staples for parties especially children's parties. The fried chicken is flavored well and deboned. It's been reviewed multiple times here already so there is no much more to add. Enjoy a local institution!

Good selection of Hawaiian plate lunches, generous portions, that are well prepared. I ordered chicken katsu with coleslaw and broccoli and I couldn't eat it all. The katsu is on a bed of rice the full width of the container and the coleslaw and broccoli were enough for another meal.
