It was really delicious ? I wasn't expecting much from the shrimp, but the firmness of the shrimp and the flavor of the kelp exceeded my expectations! ! Everything was wonderful. The tongue was so soft and delicious. Even the salad dressing was delicious. The price shouldn't be compared to Japan, but it's worth it!March 2024For the first time in 3 years? I still had delicious yakitori. If you go with 5 people, is it already 18%? Please be careful as the chip was charged ?

Walk-ins, be prepared to wait at the front of the restaurant by the host's counter for a while. I couldn't help but to notice that while I sat by the corner of the front bar. The servers do not take orders in the order the customers got seated. I ordered the Hana Hana Highball. They do not use the Japanese shochu that is on their laminated sign/menu. I spotted them using a bulk-sized Korean soju. This is not an honest business practice. Food - stick to the meatball and chicken skewers. I tried grilled scallops, tako wasa, pork belly skewer, etc. and they do not top all the chicken yakitori offerings. One drink order required per person, no free water. They make you buy bottled water from them.

I haven’t visited Torihei Torrance Carson since last April 2023. Recently in Dec 31 Su 2023 outside East Gate Plaza. The atmosphere, the service & the employees were nice & friendly than I expected. However the menu has changed since I last visited with my family. Japanese to English. Although many Asians & Americans can’t read Japanese like I do. Yakitori don is absolute my favorite dishes. The yakitori are mostly delicious but 100% well cooked especially the soup such as side order. Super satisfying! I highly recommend visiting with your family and friends! I’ll definitely come back for new menu!

The best yakitori place in LA area. So good. Spicy cabbage salad is a must! Their grilled rice onigiri is nice finale for me after too many skewers.

Nice Japanese restaurant. Marinated quill egg was good, but not all of them were well marinated. Most light colors tasted like were in the source for only 5 minutes. The oden was good.TIP- they require minimum one drink per person, we didn’t know that, the owner let us pass this time.

I think I should have come at night time. Lunch was very limited. One of the pork skewers wrapped asparagus was still raw at the end and they charge you for celebrating your birthday. The menu for dinner was more impressive but didn't get to try it. Maybe next time and perhaps the review will raise up the stars too.

30 minutes waiting for our 1st dish - Cabbage Salad. This place is utterly under staffed.

We found this place by chance on vacation together. It’s become our favorite restaurant and we went back over and over again during our stay because of the incredible food, atmosphere, and how amazing the staff was to us.

Very busy place in a relatively busy plaza so parking could be a little bit challenging on weekends.Reservation is highly recommended as this place gets crowded shortly after they open and people tend to stay there a little bit longer due to the way the food is being prepared (made to order)Overall this place is pretty decent and quality of food is great, highly recommended.

This place is a small cozy place. Good for groups no bigger than 6 people per table. Service was good and attentive. Food came out pretty quick. We pretty much order everything on the menu. My favorite was the beef tongue, pollock roe, bacon wrapped okra. The apple soju is a must.
