Katy’s Smokehouse in Trinidad is a hidden gem. My friend urged me to try the smoked salmon, and it was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted—rich, tender, and perfectly smoky, as if infused with the spirit of the sea. Standing outside, overlooking the bay, savoring it with the coastal breeze, felt truly magical. If you’re in Trinidad, don’t miss this unforgettable experience.
I have been visiting this wonderful outfit since 1997 when I first started camping during that summer in the Redwood Parks in Humboldt County in California.
The gentleman and his late wife were very professional, and kind, and offered reasonable prices of very quality smoked salmon and tuna. Love them.

Stopped in just as they were closing (unintentionally), but looking to grab some fresh fish to take back to Sacramento. We got an amazing piece of sashimi grade tuna and the best patrale we've even had. Also a lesson on trout. We love hitting the local fish markets whenever we are fortunate enough to make it to the coast, and this did not disappoint.
