The food was ok and the food took over 30 minutes to come and after about 30 minutes they came with the wrong order and we had to wait even more. And the food was really overpriced. Overall it wasn't worth the money spent.

Food and drinks were good, facilities are nice but there is dog poop in and around the grounds. I understand that people bring their dogs with them but they should enforce a policy so they have to clean up after them. We went there with our family and had lunch at Backyard BBQ and I had to constantly warn the kids to be careful since there were tracks of someone who stepped on it and walked all over the snow. I also personally saw a woman let her dog go right on the snow near the benches where people eat and just walked away without cleaning it up. Staff at the Ritz are always nice and friendly but this takes a way the ambiance of the Ritz Carlton

The food is terrible and insanely overpriced even for a Ritz. And it would be okay if the food were good, but quite simply: it’s not. We had the tacos and a salad and felt it was one of the worst lunches we’d had in ages. Don’t eat here.

Food was very expensive which is fine for the location, but it also was very low quality. Meat for both chicken sandwich and brisket sandwich were extremely dry, fries were overly salty, and the coleslaw was bland.Beautiful spot to sit and the staff was nice

It was the worst meal I’ve eaten on the slopes. As it was in Ritz carlton hotel, I have hoped that the quality would be better. The leek and corn soup was full of butter which was disgusting and the chicken sandwich was tasteless, very dry( just a bun and some pieces of dry chicken) no sauce no vegetables, awful. And over expensive 70 usd for a soup, sandwich and soda.

$57 for a brisket burger and fries and 2 other sides, coleslaw was gross and the chip things they served. the fries are like Arby's fries but hard and cold, maybe left out for a day then served.. The brisket burger was mainly just fat pieces and inedible. just disgusting and disappointing.Friends ordered macaroni and cheese also a brisket burger and both were disgusting as well.. for the price you would expect better food!

Bottom line: it's a good place for a mid-afternoon snack or lunch/dinner. The venue is easily accessible within the ski area and the service is relatively quick. The brisket was a bit dry and the poutine really didn't have much flavor. The presentation/aesthetic of both dishes were pleasing but just wish the taste followed. The price is a bit steep but you're probably on vacation anyway so be prepared to splurge a little bit. For reference on drinks- one non-specialty cocktail ("jack and coke") ran me about $24. The entrees ran me about $80. All-in-all, not bad; 3-stars for the service and presentation.

Picturesque property. It must be awesome for skiing in winter, but we stayed in summer. There are activities like hiking, mountain biking, rafting - all at an additional cost other than the family pool and on-site gym. The resort purchased lakefront property and built a modern facility. It is very pleasant but comes at a substantial price tag - something like 300/couple for the day plus food/drink; renting their power boat was 750 for two hours. Would recommend Tahoe Sailing Charters for something more accessible. Renting a car opens up options, including dining in town or Incline Village. Note there is no self parking, but valets were very responsive. Tahoe is beautiful no matter what activities you chose.

We had a lovely stay the Ritz Carlton Tahoe. It's all you would expect. Room well appointed and while the service was slow one day in the main restaurant, the food was delicious and worth the wait. But let me tell you a story. We were there to attend a wedding. I had brought some expensive and special jewelry to wear and locked it in the in-room safe. It wasn't until our plane touched down back at home I realized what I had done. I almost had a heart attack when I realized I had left it in the safe!!! The desk manager Nielson and the heard of security Katrina were on the case in a timely and professional manner. Their honesty and professionalism were truly something extremely spectacular, and do hope they will be recognized by the company for this. It is something I will never forget. I can't wait to return one day and thank them in person.

Stayed here for 5 nights to escape the Texas heat, before we arrived I called and spoke to concierges Barry and Gus, they were very helpful in activities planning and room views and szes. After we arrived we loved dining in the Living room and outside with the firepits. My room was at the end of one hall and was super quiet. It was quite a far walk to the elevator but I needed The steps and averaged 13k a day just around the resort. We had breakfast to go at the blue cafe. We tried the spa for facials and nails. Both good. Jenn did my facial and was very gentle and relaxing. We will be back!

The Club is connected to the hotel. You can use the pool at the hotel. The pool was one of the highlights of this stay. It was heated and there was snow all around us, even though it was technically spring skiing time. We were there for 8 nights. We had a 2BR with kitchen. The resort is located at Northstar. It has ski in/ski out facilities, which seemed excellent but we did not use it because we ski at Squaw Valley but the drive was not long. Our room had a balcony and the view was toward the forest and gondola. It was very quiet.

Poor service and mediocre food. One example of many - Had to wait more than an hour at the restaurant for breakfast only to walk away with a grab and go bag with one parfait, one fruit cup and 2 crescent rolls for a family of 3. When asked if we could at least get some butter toast we had to wait another 20 mins only to get this- see picture.

We chose this property as a second half to a pre-wedding ceremony vacation and are so happy we did. Northstar is not the most exciting resort for nightlife or ski terrain, but The Ritz reminds you that those two attributes are not necessarily the most important. The staff clearly had a focus of creating magical moments (yes, like the book) and did so seamlessly. Our experience there was wonderful, even if the hotel aesthetic is not my typical preference. We were prepared for it being a kid-friendly property, which also is not our preference, but it was still enjoyable as a couple's getaway venue. Much of the resort was actively shutting down for the elbow season, but there were still enough food/drink options. The overall guest attention and precise coordination was well above par. If we can only remember the individual staff members' names to personally thank them here, we absolutely would!

Sadly we only stayed one night, but what a great night/stay it was. Bonvoy status was, dare I say, over-recognized??? (two handwritten notes, multiple welcome amenities, room upgrade due to low occupancy without having to ask about availability). We skipped Manzanita in favor of room service since we were exhausted from a day of travel, but the food will still solid. Room service breakfast was of equally high quality and taste (and it's served on a white tablecloth -- no "drop and go" room service here). Service in general was warm, timely, and helpful, never aloof or stiff, with lots of name use and recognition. Special shoutout to Spencer, one of the front office leaders -- truly an exemplary Ritz-Carlton gentleman to say the least. Thank you Spencer and team for a fantastic stay -- we'll be back!

We had a great time. Was nice being able to ski in and out with kids and not have to walk far in ski boots. It wasn't busy when we were there late March. The hotel needs some updating. Furniture in living room which serves food is old and dirty which is understandable with couches, kids and food. I'd prefer more tables available so kids stay put and aren't running around. Grounds needed trash picked up. Smores kit in the room was a nice touch. Next time I'd bring my own with longer roasting sticks. Food options for kids weren't great and everything was super expensive. We brought cereal and milk and got a mini fridge brought to room so breakfast was easy. Nespresso machine in room was nice. Expect to pay 55/night for Valet, no self parking. There is also a 55/night resort fee. Prosecco and sparkling cider offered at front desk. Arcade room was fun for kids but had to pay for tokens to play. For price of hotel it should have a key card entry and be free or at least offer guests 20 free tokens. It took boot room too long to find our boots and shoes a few times and this was during a slow time. They had misplaced them 1 time. Next time I would bring pb&j to make sandos and leave lunch at picnic tables while skiing so it's easy and affordable to stop to eat lunch then keep skiing. The backyard bbq place that's outside by pool took a long time to get food and also doesn't have good kids options. We didn't know there was a pool and didn't bring suits. I didn't find kids suits anywhere to buy. Spa and ski rental area had a few adult options. Everyone walks through living room dining area in robes and swimsuits to get to pool. I wish hotels would figure out access to pool that doesn't have this issue. It distracts from trying to have a relaxing dinner. No major issues, i pointed out negatives so hotel can improve and others are aware. Staff was nice as were other guests. Kids made some friends. It was our first family ski trip. I would go back.
