I absolutely love this place! My family and i always have such a nice time. The staff are really nice and the food is so good! I get the crab benedict and honestly it's the best, you also can't forget the mimosas! On the weekends the wait is long but as long as you're with great company it flies by. My dad did want to say the pancakes can get a little dry but honestly it's a wonderful place to have breakfast/lunch! Will be going again very soon!

A long time local favorite. Now WAY overpriced and TERRIBLE service! won't answer phone or do to go orders because they"re too busy. Here's a clever thought, spend some of the profit and hire more staff. This would lead to more business, more satisfied customers, and ultimately more profit. Warren Buffet taught me that.

I have mixed emotions about this spot. My friends and I were in the area after hitting the slopes at Northstar. We needed some lunch, and arrived at 11 am on a Saturday. The queue was very long and we waited just a little over an hour to be seated. After we ordered, we waited another 45 minutes for our food to hit the table... This wait was BRUTAL. Many tables that were seated after us were getting served food, so we were getting confused... Did they forget our orders? Sierra Eggs Benedict (5/5): REALLY GOOD! Great portions. Perfectly runny poached egg and fresh avocado. A sufficient amount of hollandaise sauce, and the hashbrowns were satisfying! I like that they come unsalted and you add it yourself. I definitely recommend ordering this! Pancakes (1/5): These came out completely BURNT! I was shocked that it looked like this since other tables had fluffy golden brown stacks... Disappointed by this :( Overall, the eggs benedict was fantastic! The pancakes were not great... but the customer service was nice. However - I would NOT come back here to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for food though.

It was kind of a bummer that we never actually got to eat any food here. We came in around 9am, put our names on the list and noticed there were a few seats open at the counter. I stood near the front waiting to be acknowledged so I could ask if the counter was open seating. Multiple employees looked at me and immediately looked away, two even came within a couple feet of me and wouldn't even give me the time of day after I tried to get their attention by saying "excuse me" a couple of times. After being ignored for 5 minutes we decided to just leave and try elsewhere. It takes nearly zero effort to say "Hello. Someone will be right with you" when people walk into a restaurant. I will never understand.

This took over for me and my fiancé’s favorite breakfast spot. I got the half order of huevos rancheros with chorizo. Couldn’t finish it, it was such a big portion. Absolutely delicious. My fiancé raved about the chilaquiles special. It was the perfect breakfast. Service was great, very quick. Bathrooms were clean. Visiting from out of town but I’d definitely reccomend to others coming by!

The staff and food at Donner Lake Kitchen are top-notch. The flapjacks are huge and delicious. My wife loved the Eggs Benedict. They kept the coffee coming. Keep up the good work!

Great place to eat, I love their breakfast options. it can get really cold up their so it's always a good place to eat plenty of meat. It is place to eat friends and families. I went with my Aunt and I had a great time having a breakfast place with her as the front center person.

We had a great family breakfast at Donner Lake Kitchen. The young man who sat our party was very friendly, our server was quick and friendly, and the bloody Mary's were a hit! I ordered the Huevos Rancheros (my first time having huevos rancheros with black olives, but it wasn't bad!), and it was great. This is a great place to take your family for breakfast or lunch!
