Sat on the patio and had the West coast hazy, wife had the Amber ale, both were excellent. But the food and service were even better. Their fish and chips is top notch, and the fried chicken sando, Truckee style, was very good. Was a 60 degree Sunday afternoon and there were 3 other tables of people on the patio so it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful.

Got food home and all 3 items we ordered were wrong. 100$ plus tip for food we had to throw away due to allergies and were unable to eat, paid extra for additions and extra sides and of course those weren’t there either. Was told “come back if you want and we’ll fix it”. Not going to drive 15 minutes each way to correct the order. We used to eat there 3 times a week this will be the last time… Zero stars should be an option.

The place is so warm and inviting. Our waitress was so kind and attentive and gave great beer recommendations. Their pizza with fig and arugula and cheese curds were so fresh and delicious 😋! My salmon dinner was perfect. Huge portion of perfectly steamed(?) broccoli, generous heap of delicious mashed potatoes, and the salmon was delicious. Perfect meal after skiing.
Love the place, the beer, the food. Number of small kids during lunch …. a bit crazy.

We had lunch there today and the server, Betty P was extremely rude! Prior to becoming a teacher I worked in the food service industry for over 10 years, so I know what good customer service looks like. I am a very patient person and today, I was disappointed in the service or lack of that we received. Maybe it’s because we are locals but guess what, we have been coming up to our place in Kings Beach for over 35 years. I hope this business takes a moment to reevaluate their staff.
