The table near the fireplace was perfect for dinner on a cold snowy night. Enjoyed the brussel sprouts appetizer, entrees and a 2019 Pinot from penned-ash. Great service as well.

Unfortunately, the food was too salty, and the shrimp on my pasta special was not very good. We like the ambiance of the restaurant, and that it is so close to our place in Tahoe Donner. We want to love this restaurant, but the salt level needs to be dialed down, and better or fresher shrimp needs to be sourced.

We were seated at a nice little table near the fireplace. The room was relatively quiet and slowly filled up with families probably on spring break. I had a lavender mock tail and my partner s ginger mock tail. Both were so good. We shared a beet salad, that had shaved beets and macadamia nuts. It was a great way to start our meal. The halibut was excellent. It sat on a carrot purée, accompanied by pickled onions, and baby potatoes. Overall a great experience and meal.

I had the burger and beer special, which was promoted as a juicy 1/3 burger. I ordered without the bun and what I got was a well done, dry patty the size of a McDonald's size burger-Very disappointing! First time it was a poor meal at the lodge - I hope this was a 1 off experience.

We will never come back unfortunately. The service was very very slow and the restaurant was not very accommodating to a person in our party who has a dairy allergy. There were 7 of us. We sat there for an hour before our wine arrived, after letting us know 45 minutes before that that the wine we chose was not available. It was suggested that our dairy allergy guest eat a kid's meal. We asked if she could ask the chef what we could do and he only recommended the shrimp tacos. She ended up ordering a salad with grilled chicken, so simple and easy, we didn't understand the issue. This person is knows her allergy is a pain but the restaurant didn't even try. Our whole experience felt like they wished our group was not there. We were polite, not rowdy and felt put off by the whole thing.

Special discount for members. Burger and beer for $25. BUT the burgers were not the usual good Lodge Burgers, they were small with less toppings! Very unfair to advertise one thing and deliver another. We brought 3 guests with us. It would have been better if we just ordered the usual always excellent Lodge Burgers because what they served was not representative of Lodge quality and did nothing to help bring in outsiders to dine on their own.

Opentable Diner

We went for St. Patrick's Day dinner. It was advertised as a fun and interactive evening. Three of the four of us got cornbeef and cabbage. Two of us had very small portions of corn beef and our vegetables were not fully cooked. the third person had an enjoyable dinner. The fourth person ordered fish tacos, and there was so much cabbage slaw that they had to scoop off the mountains of cabbage slaw to be able to pick up and enjoy their taco. Overall, it was a disappointing evening and it wasn't very busy at all, so there was no reason for it to be like that. Our waitress was very nice but seem to be spread a little bit thin and the other servers were noncommunicative and never refilled our water glasses.

The corned beef and cabbage meal was undercooked and had one skinny piece of corned beef. Very poor food and overpriced.

The mushroom ‘scallops' was one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. I haven't been back to the lodge in over a year but they have a new, more Interesting menu and I plan to be back to try all of the other menu items soon. The problem is that I will want the delicious mushroom dish again. If you haven't been there in a while, it is definitely worth the trip to give it another try.

Suggested this place for my friends from out of town and they did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the beautiful view of the golf course. A very impressive kids menu and its really refreshing to see it done so well, with appetizers too! Not the typical cheese burger and chicken tenders. My one year old enjoyed the kids fresh catch of the day (trout) with mashed potatoes and green beans, which was also a generous portion for kids. Our server was super kind and even offered to put the kids order in early, while was great and saved the dinner. Loved this place and we will be back!

While our waiter was nice, we waited way too long for our food (almost an hour) and the experience felt abandoning. I found The Lodge very overpriced. The value was not there. We tried to ensure our own good experience and be patient, but I will not be jumping to go to The Lodge again.

Have never had a bad meal here and we've been eating here for years. The scallops were delicious on our most recent trip. And the fried calamari is a personal favorite. Service is also excellent.

Staff was amazing! Short-handed already on a Friday night with a wedding reception to boot. Hats off to them! The Lodge does best with its pub fare. My barbecued pork sliders were wonderful. The main menu is excessively expensive for food that is good but not memorable.

What a wonderful experience! The Lodge staff's service was exceptional - we had a party of 12, and everyone in our group was impressed with the food, ambiance, and especially the service. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back!
