We had a wonderful quiet birthday celebration at The Lodge main dinning room. The food was superb! I had the Alaska Halibut and my birthday boy had the Venison. We shared a Caesar salad topped with that lovely crisp fried parmesan. Everything from the delicious cocktails to the final bite was terrific. The service was good, the room is nice. We will be back.

You really can't go wrong with most everything on their menu. And all their cocktails are top-notch! If they have the donuts on the dessert menu, do yourself a favor and get some!

The place surprised us, we had read the comments but it exceeded what was expected, the views are stunning. The dishes are traditional and some more gourmet. I am vegetarian and I like it!!! They are all very friendly, highlighted a very attentive Argentine girl. We recommend it!! We hope to return.

Really great service and attentive staff. The atmosphere was very cozy and slightly upscale (business casual). The food on the other hand was not very impressive. They lacked seasoning on their fish tacos in particular. The brussels sprouts and potatoes were decently flavorful. Not the most outstanding place for food.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options and marked with a V symbol on the menu.Parking: Free parking lot next to the lodge, usually lots of spaces.

Our 2 nd Christmas Eve at The Lodge. Both times it was a lovely dinner. The servers were friendly and super efficient. The food was excellent ! We had Prime Rib , French Onion Soup, and topped with the chocolate soufflé! Yummy! Thank you to all the Lodge staff for their kindness and service throughout 2023!

Once again a wonderful experience at the Lodge in Tahoe Donner. We weren't that hungry so we got the beet salad, broccolini Side and split the steelhead entre with a nice bottle of Sav Blanc. The chef plated our food separately which we appreciate. The beet salad was yummy. Super fresh and clean. The steelhead was out of this world. I've decided that for a nice dinner in Truckee/Tahoe this is the only restaurant I'll go to. It's close to my vacation property and the food and service are always top notch. I've never been disappointed there. I'm thrilled to have such good fine dining in my neighborhood

The Lodge Pub & Restaurant is a vital part of the Truckee culinary scene. Food, service and the impressive wine list are attractive. Friendly service and the upgraded menu make it special. We try to visit each month, as much as time allows!

When I was there I tried to get somebody to assist me at the counter and nobody chose to come and help me. I waited there 15 minutes after complaining to a supervisor to only get the wrong

The Lodge is the perfect place for dinner when in the Truckee/Tahoe area. It's a wonderful mountain lodge restaurant with warm and comfortable ambience, friendly and professional staff, and delicious food and drinks. The menu changes seasonally, and there is something for everyone. This visit, my husband had the pasta special which was 5-cheese tortellini with mushroom sauce, and it was delicious. I had the Ramen bowl with chicken, and while it was described as mildly spicy, I didn't think it was very spicy at all, so I added sriracha to it to amp up the spiciness. It was very tasty, with a green curry-type broth, lots of noodles and veggies, and plenty of chicken. My husband and I split the vanilla creme brulee, and it was beautifully creamy with plenty of vanilla, and a lovely crunchy top. Service as always was impeccable. We love this place!
