We have visited Pianeta multiple times. I recommend advance reservations as they are very busy. The food is amazing. If you order the Caesar Salad, it will serve two-three people, so keep that in mind. I have to give a shout out to our amazing server from the other night...Amandine! She provided excellent service with a smile and we appreciated it. I couldn't give overall 5 stars as our food took quite some time to be delivered, but this restaurant earns a near 5 stars!

This restaurant is a real family. The employees are all very supportive of each other and they work like a well oiled team. I saw no evidence of animosity or conflict. I only saw an incredible And best of all, the food is outrageously great tasting!

They killed it tonight. Were accommodating, friendly staff, sous chef even came by to drop off a plate. One of the best meals I've ever had. We did the pappardelle special, the rib eye with gnocchi and enjoied both so much. Would go out of our way to visit again.

I ordered the sausage and meat sauce and they were very good and the bread is very good too.

Recommended as the best food in Truckee - excellent service, the bruschetta was amazing - I preferred sausage with red sauce over the ravioli but my son went the other way. An excellent meal!

We had such a fantastic experience at Pianeta! The cocktails were tasty, service was wonderful, the vibe was cozy and lively, and the food was delicious. We had the marinated olives, beef carpaccio, Caesar salad, pasta Bolognese, and tiramisu - all so good. Would love to go back.

The food is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. We are new to the area and this is definitely our new Italian “spot”. Desiree was an amazing waitress and an absolute gem. Try the bolognese. Chefs kiss. Wonderful!

When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation. Turns out they had given our table away to another couple. Fortunately they were able to seat us - but in this tight space by the serving station upstairs. Not great. The food was cooked well, and tasty, but quite expensive.
Also a bit strange in this experience - they came and filled my water glass and completely ignored my companions half full glass. I’ll try other places in town before I return but the ambiance was nice.
