We had such a fantastic experience at Pianeta! The cocktails were tasty, service was wonderful, the vibe was cozy and lively, and the food was delicious. We had the marinated olives, beef carpaccio, Caesar salad, pasta Bolognese, and tiramisu - all so good. Would love to go back.

The food is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. We are new to the area and this is definitely our new Italian “spot”. Desiree was an amazing waitress and an absolute gem. Try the bolognese. Chefs kiss. Wonderful!

When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation. Turns out they had given our table away to another couple. Fortunately they were able to seat us - but in this tight space by the serving station upstairs. Not great. The food was cooked well, and tasty, but quite expensive.
Also a bit strange in this experience - they came and filled my water glass and completely ignored my companions half full glass. I’ll try other places in town before I return but the ambiance was nice.

Absolutely delicious Italian food, and we're very picky, we travel to Europe often and we're just foodies... we also love Truckee but NOT for the food scene here which over the years as been dismal. Enters Pieneta: the service was great, the cocktails amazing, the food perfect, the ambiance convivial and warm... it's clearly a happy place, we'll be regulars now.
This place was so good. Everything we got from appetizers to salads to entrees to dessert was delicious. They have a wide variety of options and they were able to accommodate my gluten free diet. No one had one complaint about anything they got.

This place is awesome! A true gem. On the main strip in truckee, expereince home cooking vibes in a classy setting. Carlos & Ian served me at the bar. The staff make this a fun atmosphere while still maintaining a upper level class of service. Everything on the menu is made in house & you can tell. 10/10 reccomend.
