Literally out of roast beef, the bread they have advertised, no soda, and like 3 chip options. Whoever owns this franchise should sell to someone who cares.

This is literally the worst port of subs I have been to. I have tried 4 different time to see if my experience changes. It has not. Here are my issues:1) they seem to be out of all bread choices (usually only one or two)2) the soda machine has only been fully stocked and working 1/4 times and I am not told when purchasing large fountain drink, so when I got to get a drink I paid for I am not able to find a soda I like3) there is always a line because of how slowly people are served4) all the employees speak English as their second language, which is never a problem…. When other service is adequate or exceptional but when this lacks not being able to communicate adequately in English is frustrating5) the atmosphere is terrible and I imagine it is because everyone is having similar experiences to mineI love port of subs, and it is disappointingThat after 4 attempts I will not be returning to location.

I don't usually review chain restaurants because I don't expect an amazing sandwich like an independent deli. However todays exp wasn't ok. Although the worker was quite polite the sandwich bread was old and dry. I just at the inside of the sandwich and it was good. The ice tea tasted and smelled spoiled so I poured it out and went for the soda machine. The machine said unavailable to my first 5 choices so I tried coke thinking surely they will have coke which they did. So that's my review. I ate, it wasn't the best but I'm still alive, life goes on...

They close when they want too. We drove and arrived at 6:30 (closing is 7pm) and they said nope. They were closing and everything was clean. Don't waist your time.I wrote this review then read reviews for the last week. Sounds like the the same two idiots. Lazy and not willing to serve the people coming in. There were people going to Panda Express Who said they wanted subs too but since those guys decided they didn't want this business they were out of luck. This place needs corporate to do a visit.

The quality is not here. Do yourself a favor and spend the money at Full Belly Deli. The service at this location is unfriendly, slow and they literally slap the deli meat down on the stale bread. The man making my sandwich was standing at the meat cutter and was literally throwing the meat onto my sandwich two feet away. As he asked about the toppings I wanted, he continued to slap things down. Out of lettuce, out of cheddar, out of white bread, wouldn't provide oil and vinegar on the side (so the sandwich wouldn't get soggy), cash only...This was my last visit to Port of Subs Truckee.

2 stars because I did manage to get 2 sandwiches. They were mildly edible. I hate leaving bad reviews because it's so tough to succeed as a small business, but this place isn't even trying. The guy just stared at me when I entered and I had to ask him to come over so I could order. He was skulky and interrupted me more than once while I was ordering, telling me what I should get. The bread was stale. Tuna was fine. He tried to put brown shredded lettuce on my sandwich and I requested the fresh green leaves of romaine, to which he obliged reluctantly. I will say they piled the fresh slices of meat on my husband's #1 so there's that. Wish I could find more positives but they didn't give me a lot to work with.

We didn't have a problem with the food. For a chain sub sandwiches it wasn't "bad". No, the problem was the two men running the store. As we walk in we see him stand up and lean up against the wall and just *look* as us. Nary a greeting, no "Hello, welcome to Port of Subs" or anything, just a dull look on his face as he stared at us. Eventually we thought to just give our orders, which was fulfilled with some negotiation about bread size and availability of the ingredients we wanted. The store was clean enough but there were boxes of products stacked up in the rear of the store but outside in the dining area. Was there not enough room in the back or had they just not gotten around to it? Things like that *should* be put away out if sight.Seemed like a lot to pay for 4 subs and drinks, but honestly, we didn't want to spend any more time in there so we didn't argue the point, payed, ate and hit the road. I'm sure other Port of Subs are pretty nice and staffed by people who know how to be polite with customers, but not these two guys; they were borderline outright unfriendly.

Bread was stale on previous visit, but willing to give it another try. They post closing time at 7:00p.m but when we arrived at 6:45, everything was put away and they said they were closed. Hum? Try elsewhere would be my suggestion.

I love the sandwiches but this has to be the slowest place I've ever gotten a sandwich. There were 5 people ahead of us in line and we have been waiting 15 minutes so far & we are still waiting for them to finish the sandwiches for the guy ahead of us!!! Unbelievable. Come here if you have a ton of time to spare.
