Everything is tasty and presentable here. Drinks are okay, in my opinion only. The blue crab dip is just okay. Pepper lemon wings are good! My personal favorites are steak, fried chicken, scallops, burger ?, pasta.

We eat at the Sawyer everytime we come to Tahoe, which is about one a month. The food is consistently good and there is some variation to the menu with daily specials. It is one of the better restaurants in town.

This is our absolute favorite place to go whenever we are in Truckee. The staff is incredible. Ask for Theresia behind the bar, her and Andrea are the best of the best. Management takes such good care of the crew and it definitely shows. My favorite cocktail is a toasted, pecan old-fashioned and you must have the butter cake for dessert. My husband and I look forward to every chance we get to go there!

The Sawyer is one of our "special dinner" splurge places in town and once again it did not disappoint. Very good, informative service. They knew the menu which was quite helpful. Met the manager and the bar tender neither of whom actually served our table. Nice customer service.

What a great experience! Just got in to town, wanted to find a place near our hotel to eat good for and watch the Super Bowl. This place was full of good vibes, great food, and wonderful service. The local crowd definitely showed up, and were welcoming and a lot of fun. Steak was perfect, scallops nicely done. I recommend the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Good local beer and wine list. Highly recommend this place!

The restaurant had a live band amplified to painfully loud levels (90+ db at our table in one of the farther corners, enough to trigger Apple Watch hearing damage alerts).Good place to go with your in-laws I guess.
This is restaurant is amazing! A little hidden gem. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Food was excellent with very little wait time. We will be heading back soon!

First time visit and we'll definitely return. Our reservations were just after opening and about 10 people were in the restaurant. During the hour we were there, it really started to fill-up, mostly with large groups, both kids and adults. The food, atmosphere and service were outstanding. The restaurant was dimly lit, calm and romantic. Large fireplace in the middle with seats all around. Snow-covered deck in the back, which we agree in the Spring or Summer is going to be wonderful when we come back to eat again. Front and back of house staff inquired about our visit, checked on us and offered light friendly conversation. Busser was quick and friendly. Waitress was spot on with food choices. We agree though that the bartender that evening was seriously lacking and didn't actually make my drink correct. Since there's only 2 ingredients in my drink, I didn't figure it would be a problem, but we chose not to order more as a result. We definitely will be back!

Great place to enjoy dinner after a day on the slopes. Food is quite good, the kale/brussel salad is amazing, and the desserts are comfort food incarnate. Plus a great drink menu makes this a great place for an enjoyable evening.
Fabulous bday celebration for my hubby with friends, Brandon our waiter , As well as all of the staff were extremely attentive, will come back as soon as possible , great meals desserts cocktails & service .
