Stopped here on my drive from Reno to Oakland and it was a lovely addition to my day! Enjoyed my chicken sandwich at nearby donner lake. Also had a nice time talking to Niels, who works at the shop and has a pleasant voice.

Wow. Phenomenal food. Better than the 5 star resort restaurant we were staying at in Lake Tahoe. Liked the food so much we drove here two days in a row and got the Mexican corn salad, shrimp ceviche, tuna poke & housemade chips. The entire menu is to go, there are 2 picnic tables by the parking lot to sit and eat, the owner is lovely. Such clean, well prepared, high quality, fresh & delicious food.

The food was excellent! I ordered the chicken sandwich and the Greek salad. The chicken sandwich was delicious and had the perfect amount of crispy. Be sure to try the homemade hot sauce. The Greek Salad was so fresh with a perfect blend of herbs and spices, it’s best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the Ruben and loved it. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Truckee Food Shop has quickly become our family’s favorite place to get food in town. Efficient and friendly service combined with high quality and delicious food (the fried chicken and broccoli Caesar are our go-to’s). Once you try it, you’re going to want to go back again to try everything!

What a delightful little market and sandwich shop. The street corn salad is utterly delightful. Got an extra one to bring home. Do it.
Well curated place — only the stuff you want! They threw in free chips with our yummy ceviche and double-wrapped our halved ribeye panini when we told them we were snowshoeing with them. And they had tasty beer! Great vibes, great food, would return.

Sat outside on the picnic table and shared a delicious Ribeye Panini, shrimp ceviche and chips for lunch. Also enjoyed vanilla cold brew from the local Pacific Crest coffee Co. Friendly service, & perfect stop out of downtown and away from the crowds before getting on 80. We’ll be back for to-go soups and sides on our next visit.
