“Salles Café is one of those places that just feels like home. Every time I come in, I’m greeted with a smile and treated like family. The food is consistently great — the French toast is crispy and delicious, the home fries are perfectly seasoned, and the chicken fried steak is legit comfort food.
What makes this place stand out even more is the touch of Portuguese flavor on the menu — something you don’t see every day in Tulare. It gives the café its own unique vibe.
The place has an old-school diner feel that I love, and the staff really go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. Whether you’re meeting a friend for breakfast or grabbing a bite solo, Salles never disappoints.
Highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t already. It's a true local favorite for a reason.“

“As a special needs family, we would like to give our waiter,Dory, a big shoutout for making our day yesterday.
Going out with our special needs daughter is not easy at times, but going to a restaurant who accommodates your request to “sit farther” is so important.. but to have a waiter like Dory makes our outings feel “normal.”
Dory offered us a kind gesture as we waited for our food that helped my daughter as we waited for our food, and that just made our whole day! We wanted to make sure we praised her work and the location for making our day! 💜“
