Soooo yummy!
Filipino run bakery provides charming atmosphere and stellar hospitality. We enjoyed the American classic comfort foods and modern Asian fusion. We’ll be returning to try ube pancakes.
First time ever trying Butter, but I must add that service 10/10 exceeded my expectations. It was my first time hosting such a large party and the food orders got messy, Destinee(?) was absolutely amazing on the calls and even more helpful in person! She was so patient, and was accommodating to the unique orders/dietary restrictions and I really appreciate how all the food was labeled. My guests were so happy and excited to go to the restaurant in person. When I went to pick up, plenty of parking and this place had a line out the door. I can guarantee you it is definitely WORTH the wait! we tried the french toast, the breakfast burrito, the smash burger, everything was so tasty. The ube was a very popular item at my party. Excited to go back in person and dine there as the ambiance and vibes are very chill. The staff all looked happy and the patrons too. I can tell this is a very family oriented/mom and pop shop. Love it and thank you again Butter! Will be back... soon!!! :)
I love this place. The place itself is amazing—the pastries are great, it’s clean, and the ambiance is lovely. However, if they improved the coffee, it would definitely be a 6-star spot 🥰. They have everything. But not an amazing coffee. I always order Lattes but they are not well done. 😅 there’s always space to improve 😊
Stumbled on this place. Outstanding bakery and the Philippine breakfast was amazing. Made my morning
Cafe with a great food selection of breakfast and lunch items to compliment the coffee options, along with a selection of bakery items. Fairly sized with a nice atmosphere fit for parties of 2-8 indoor and outdoor seating
Great food, and a wonderful place to eat with friends and family. The service was exceptional .

***HIDDEN GEM ALERT***
A DEFINITE MUST!
Treat your taste buds to amazing Asian/Mexican/American fusion specialties. I promise you won't be disappointed.
SERVICE: An incredible team works here. You can tell that the owner has a lot of love in not only his business, but also in his team and the food that they serve.
ATMOSPHERE: Clean and modern. Not a speck of dirt
FOOD -My sister and I indulged in:
UBE PANCAKES: Not heavy or over sweet. Incredibly fluffy and delicious. Easy favorite!
KAHLUA HASH: Garclic fried rice, egg (your way), shredded pork and the most amazing gravy! I cleaned my plate!
DRINKS: Matcha Honey and Cold Brew. Neither was bitter and both were tasty and refreshing!
Take homes:
BLUEBERRY EARL GREY MUFFIN/ BROWN BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE/ STRAWBERRY RICOTTA CAKE/ PUMPKING AND CREAM CHEESE BAR / APPLE CAKE / CINNAMON BUN
All did not disappoint!
Great local brunch spot. Already looking forward to the next visit!

I was unable to try the food. I placed a pickup order through Door Dash. I ordered a breakfast burrito, salmon locks on a baguette with breakfast potatoes and a coffee. The cafe was busy, but with the price and size of this order, I did not feel it was going to be worth the long wait time and canceled my order.

The fried chicken steak is delish. Something about the gravy. Then the butter proof(bullet proof) coffee is also on spot.

Visited Butter Cafe & Bakery on Sunday. It was crowded so the order line was long. They needed more staff to accommodate the crowd. However, the food was tasty and affordable. Nice place for a sunnt day meet up. Give it try.

This was my first time at Butter in Upland, and it was a disappointment. I ordered a grilled cheese and tater tots. When I got my order , they gave me a ham and cheese sandwich. When I approached the clerk behind the counter that there was an error with my order, she just kept saying three times that I ordered a ham sandwich. I very nicely told her I did not believe that was accurate. I did not even know that a ham sandwich was on the menu. If the sandwich hadn't been drowned in sauce and pickles, I probably would have kept it, because mistakes happen, but I would not have been able to eat that sandwich. She took it back and they remade my sandwich into a grilled cheese. The description on the menu says it would be cheddar, provolone and Parmesan on the sandwich. What I got was a sad sandwich with American cheese, which I could make at home. I did not bring this to their attention, because no sane person sends their food back twice. The breakfast burrito, with ham my sister ordered right before me turned out perfect, and the tater tots were delicious . We also got s'mores brownies that were tasty. Overall a mixed experience. I usually visit the Butter in San Dimas and they are always amazing.
Also, this place would only get a C minus on cleanliness of the restrooms. The corners of the floors are dirty from long time half hearted cleaning techniques. Not awful, but it made me wonder if their kitchen was up to standards on their cleaning practices. If you are sloppy in one area, you might be sloppy in another.

Butter Cafe & Bakery was fairly busy for brunch hours. The service was fast and friendly. The food came out fast but the Kalua Pork Hash didn't suit my palate, the Cafe au Lait wasn't that remarkable, and the Coffee Cake was good but a little too heavy. Don't know if it was the different style or just the food itself, but keep in mind this is my personal opinion. You'd have to try it out for yourself.
