The Back Abbey is great! We visited Upland for a family event and ended up coming here twice because it was delicious. The Friday night we were there even had live music, which was the perfect accompaniment to the evening. The staff are super friendly as well. Definitely recommend!

I would like to say the food was good. It wasn’t. It was just meh.
I would like to say that the staff accommodated my requests. They didn’t. They were as accommodating as the one clogged toilet at a massive family gathering.
I would like to say that the atmosphere made me want to go back. Nope. We were fighting for shade—even among our own family.
If you want to pay for overpriced humdrum burgers, be treated poorly, and struggle with space, Upland’s Back Abbey is the place you want to check off on your out-to-eat bingo card. For me, I’d rather take my family to In-N-Out, or most other establishments in the Upland area.
I do not recommend Back Abbey in Upland. Stay away.
Love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service top notch. The beer selection though- superb. They have a large amount of European beers you can choose from. The cocktails are also amazing.
