Black&Blue Steakhouse

Had dinner at the bar with my wife. Very good food. Excellent bar team, my wife and I left and said “was that the best service we’ve ever had at a restaurant?” Except we sat at the bar and received this world class service. 4 star atmosphere… only cause some guy came in and sat 5-6 seats away from us mid dinner, and was talking very loudly, seemed like he was drunk, shrugged it off since it was a bar. Next time we’ll sit at a low table under that awesome aquarium. Will be back soon.

This place is an absolute gem! My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here while enjoying some special quality time with family. From the very moment we sat down the experience began. The service was top-notch—a huge thank you to Star! The food was delicious and the portions were generous, but the personal touch of a personalized desert and having the entire staff sign an anniversary card was what made it extra special. We cannot express how wonderful this place is. We look forward to returning! Wow 🥰

Black and Blue is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I enjoy celebrating special occasions and taking loved ones, friends, and colleagues as we are always treated so special by all of the staff. I always highly recommend this elegant restaurant for the ambiance, wonderful treatment and absolutely delicious food. We enjoy the fabulous filet mignon dinner, crab cakes, colossal shrimp cocktail, calamari, salads, pork chop, and the other side dishes offered. The baked Alaska and German Chocolate Cake are our favorite desserts and so elegant! Thank you to all of the staff for making me and my guests feel so special and so important!

We have NEVER been disappointed with the food! From the outstanding soups and breads to the best Filet Mignon anywhere and just recently a German Chocolate Cake...WOW! We always come for Special Occasions, and it is Fantastic!

The beet salad could have had more beets but everything else was delicious. Everything was on point and service was impeccable.

It's always a treat to splurge at Black and Blue because the food is off the chart delicious. Our server and wait staff are truly professional and attentive. This was my third time and my only disappointment was I noticed police in uniform huddled in the corner of the room as the restaurant filled up, whispering to my friend that I wondered if it was gonna be some kind of crazy ICE situation except these two had badges and name tags, no masks. Well, they approached our table and to my surprise, I was the problem. It was my prescription glasses which happen to be META though they hadn't been charged for probably six months. Fortunately, the officer was polite and instructed me that I could not wear them because of casino policy. I mean, I would understand if I were cheating at a blackjack table but we walked through slot machines to get to the restaurant and were seated to spend at a pricey dinner. If the manager noticed, why would he subtly mention policy as he was the one who seated us...which by the way, we had a reservation and were given the table right outside the noisy kitchen rather than a nice booth so there was that to add to our experience. Or maybe Valley View might mention it on their website, or the doorman as we entered the casino? Why make an embarrassing spectacle of an innocent guest in a dining room at 5:30om at near capacity? I think they could do better on ambience.

If you like smoke filled casinos and restaurants then this is your place. If you like a like your filet and lobster covered in something without it being described on the menu then this is also your place. Best thing I can say is the server was great and the sourdough bread and traditional butter was bomb. Beyond that I wouldn't come back until they tell me the story place is smoke free.

This is the 6 th time we have visited the Black and Blue restaurant. We were disappointed with the service, long time to wait for our friends to get two drinks...our waiter Tim( who we have had much better service from him) got pulled over to another table and he kinda of forgot about us. We got our salads too close to our dinner- they were good. Most of us enjoyed the prefixe menu but our friend who ordered the pork chop thought it was a bit overdone and dry ( but we did not send it back because we had already waited a long time for dinner. Desserts were delicious! Hopefully, service will better next time.

Very nice, old school steakhouse atmosphere. Dark with some classic tunes playing, blues, Tony Bennett, etc.
Steaks are very good, mashed potatoes yummy. Caesars salad has anchovies, very good also.
Desserts are huge.
Reservations strongly suggested. They get very busy.
The have a $75 Prix Fixe menu that's definitely worth it.
Worth a try for a special occasion.

Tried this place out, but wouldn't choose to eat here again.

I never enjoy writing lower reviews, but this experience could have been a lot better.

We made a reservation for 5:30PM, we didn't leave the restaurant until almost 8PM.. due to the excruciatingly slow service.

At first things seemed to go really well.
But this was some of the worst service I've experienced, especially considering it wasn't very busy.

At one point - I waited 45 MINUTES for a second glass of prosecco.
I asked a busser as well as our server and still continued to wait.
Pretty unacceptable.

Our dessert took over 30 minutes - the carrot cake, which was more of an apple spice cake than a carrot cake.
It was delicious, but they surely could have let us know it'd be a wait since we had already been there for quite sometime.

Waters went empty without refills (not how you'd normally see it at a steakhouse)
We were hardly checked out throughout the dinner.

The food was decent overall, the crab cakes were presented beautifully and were tasty.
Interesting take on french onion soup.. but it wasnt bad.
The mac n cheese was quite dry, but fine.
I ordered my steak medium rare - it came out quite rare and cold.
They did offer to remake it, but I didn't want to wait that long.

At the end - a 20% gratuity for two people was automatically added.
Which, is a bit ridiculous overall for two people - since it's such a small line item that you probably wouldn't realize it since they still come out with the merchant copy that has the tip and total line.

We are always treated great when we dine at Black and Blue. The service is outstanding. The atmosphere is very nice. The food is next level great...don't forget dessert!
