We were looking for a taco shop nearby as we were driving on the 405 and we found this one. We chose it because of the good reviews and my gosh were we satisfied? Absolutely! The three different types of burritos that we got were absolutely huge. We didn't weigh them but I wouldn't be surprised if they were 2 lb each. It was more than enough for meals for 2 days. Don't be turned away by the strip mall and its location. It's worth a stop!

Costa Grande Restaurant has received positive reviews for its authentic Mexican cuisine. If you're looking for fresh, handmade tortillas and flavorful dishes, it might be a great choice. The restaurant is known for its tacos, enchiladas verde, and burritos that impress even California transplants1. If you're in the Los Angeles area, the Van Nuys location also has good ratings, with customers praising its fish tacos and friendly service. Would you like more details on the menu or customer experiences?

My office orders frequently from Costa Grande. The food is always delicious, service is fast, and the workers are friendly. The tostada is amazing, as are the fish tacos. Love the green salsa too.

Love this place. California burrito and loaded nachos are awesome.

Service was very friendly and fast, and the food was delicious. The chicken was especially good.

I ordered two burritos. One breakfast burrito and one California burrito and was pretty disappointed with both. The breakfast burrito was supposed to have sausage and bacon, but they forgot the bacon completely, and there were maybe four tiny pieces of sausage in the whole thing. It was overwhelmingly just egg. The California burrito was okay, but nothing special and came out soggy. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won’t be coming back.

Bomb food. Got all meat burrito! A lil pricey but it was worth it FAT burrito and a Jamaica 20$ super fresh and hot really juicy asada couldn’t finish it on my break.

Hidden gem. Local Mexican restaurant tucked back off the main road. Food is fabulous, great taste and large portions. Restaurant is simple but clean, and service was very quick. Definitely try this restaurant if you are looking for Mexican food in the Van Nuys area.

Randomly stopped in while visiting our son who doesn't live too far from here. People there are very nice and accommodating. Food was very good too. It's a funky place in sort of a canyon with a big building in front and to the sides. One way in and out, but whatever, was worth the stop!

Costa Grande Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem tucked deep inside a strip mall with some tight parking, but it’s worth the squeeze. Walk in, and you’re greeted by a huge digital menu board—makes ordering easy. I went with 2 tacos and asada fries. Fries? Solid, crispy, and full of flavor. The seating’s super limited, but who cares when the food is good.
