Only being in California/La Mesa/San Diego for a year as of July, we didn't find Pesto until after the COVID-19 shut down and have only been able to order take out but, boy, we have not been disappointed. It has become nearly a weekly treat for us since we found them. Their Carne Pizza is one of the best pizzas we have had. We have eaten pizza all over the country and this is one of our favorites ever.
Quite possibly my favorite Italian spot in the city. I have no qualms about venturing so close to Times Square if I get to dine at Mercato! My go-to dish is Rigatoni Norma Con Ricotta Salata. The portions are just perfect - they look small at first but once you start eating you realize it's just enough to fill you up without being overstuffed. You also can't miss out on their dessert! My favorite is the Salame di cioccolato.

This place is a hidden treasure, seriously hidden took me a while to find it , you have to go up a few flights of stairs .But it's totally worth it, food is so good ,service could be quicker but we went on a busy night.Late hours are great.
