I bought my first loaf of sourdough bread from the Wantz and Kneads booth in downtown Ventura at the Farmers Market. This bread is NOT fresh baked they are selling their old bread. My bread was never supple once I cut into it and two days later it was hard as a rock! How do you get off charging prices as though it’s for a fresh baked loaf? I’m all about supporting small business but not when I’m being taken advantage of. I’ll be sure to let the Ventura officials know about your unethical business practice.

This is a \\\"ghost kitchen\\\", which i didnt know existed, but came into popularity during the pandemic, combined with meal delivery services like Grub Hub. The chef, Lance Toro, is so friendly, and has a real passion for providing a superior culinary meal. He makes fresh sourdough bread daily, which he uses for his sandwich prep and croutons. He smokes Chicken daily, as well as other meats as needed, also for meal prep. I ordered chicken with smoked Gouda panini... amazing!! Also ordered Turkey chili... also awesome ? i will be back, probably to try everything else on the menu. This is a nice lunch-type business, but I think Chef Lance can accommodaye any request, with a little advanced notice

I picked up a few loaves of the Sourdough bread at the market today - - when I got home I couldn’t hold myself back from eating a few slices. OMGosh! SO GOOD!! I’m excited to visit your location in Van Nuys to try all your products. Yum ?

This place isn't open to the public anymore. Star doesn't reflect the service or the owner. Just check out his farmers market days.

Last week, I ordered a Smoked Chicken Gouda Panini with a side of tomato bisque and a tri-tip wrap. Unfortunately, the delivery person didn't notify me that they had arrived at my door, so my food sat outside for a while, and flies got into my food. Everything was completely inedible, so I unfortunately had to call Grubhub about the incident (the delivery note requested a text/call upon arrival, but I guess the delivery person missed it). My husband has been craving for Wantz and Kneads, and so i ordered again today. I made sure I watched our front door this time because I wasn't sure if the delivery person would actually text/call. But my food finally came with a very thoughtful complimentary bisque. Thank you so much! I seldom order anything sandwich or chicken, but I really liked the Smoked Chicken Gouda Panini! The aioli was amazing, too. To me, the bread makes a big difference. Although the panini seemed wet, the bread didn't get soggy, and it had a wonderful crunch and bite. The tri-tip wrap was also really good! My husband loved the amount of meat in the wrap, and he said it was very tasty. My husband wishes the shop opens on weekends so he can go in person. Anyway, thank you again for the awesome meal!

Oh boy. A friend recommended this highly and she was so right!! Let's start with the bread. They make their own sourdough (2 types) for their sandwiches. The sandwiches are massive... 2 meals for sure, unless you simply love it so much that you have no choice but to eat it all (no judgement). Everything is scratch made. Everything. 1. Tomato bisque. Silky, creamy, deep flavor. I would eat this daily. Not too acidic either. When I dream of comfort food... this is what it tastes like. 2. Chicken meatball and mozzarella panini on homemade sourdough with dipping sauce. Let's start with the sauce. Most people won't even pay attention to the side of marinara...but it's important here. Similar texture to the bisque, but more robust and different herbs. A gorgeous complement to the sandwich. Do not underestimate these meatballs... the flavor, the size, the moisture, the texture... fabulous. Put that all together on the flattop with the bread, some lovely gooey cheese and a nice buttery crunchy exterior... *chef's kiss* 3. Turkey chili. In the fridge for another day...but according to Lance (owner and chef) it's an actual prizewinner. Looking forward to future orders!

The food here is made with love. Everything was hand crafted with fresh ingredients. Absolutely delicious. Better than homemade but still reminded me of my grandmother. I had the meatball panini, tomato bisque and tomato basil pasta salad. Everything was packaged in recyclable packaging. And each item had a sticker with my name and what was in it! Love the personal touch. Very impressed with this place.

Wow this is the first time getting food from a "ghost kitchen" and it was a rad experience. Made the order over the phone for dinner pick up since we had a Groupon. It was SO EASY! We ordered: - Italian soup : very comforting meatball version of a "chicken noodle" soup we all grew up with. A little bit more peppery but excellent broth and noodles. - turkey chili : very filling, balanced turkey to tomato base. DELICIOUS with side of bread. - Caprese panini : my husband swears it's the best damn sandwich of his life and would highly recommend - Tri-tip panini : this was BOMB very filling and easily two servings with how stacked this sandwich is!! I loved it and the additional fried peppers on the side. True to their name, their breads are amazing and I will definitely buy a LOAF next time. I feel fortunate to live 10 minutes from here, will definitely explore their other items.
