This Zankou has good garlic sauce paste also. Not all Zankou places are the same. This one is clean, friendly, has fresh chicken, rice, hummus, pickled veggies/yellow peppers. First time to stop by this location and very satisfied. Great location, not run down, easy access, ample parking in the plaza.
I have been going to different Zankou Chicken Restaurants (Glendale, North Hollywood and Van Nuys) for over 30 years. The Van Nuys restaurant moved to this new building in a shopping center across from Costco almost two years ago now. The new building is spacious and clean. The food is out of this world. I usually make “Mediterranean Tacos” with quarters of pita bread and items from the Chicken Tarna or Tri-Tip Shawarma Plate. The Luleh & Steak Kabobs are also excellent....

The chicken is pretty consistent all the time. It comes with pita bread, turnips and diced tomato and a hummus of course! Sark meat chicken 1/4 was very small for some reason so I stick to white meat only.
The pricing is ok, not the cheapest place but its worthy.
