The service was horrible. We had to ask for water 3 times just to get our tiny glasses refilled once. Only ended up having two glasses of water total because it wasn’t even worth the effort to keep asking. The zucchini beignets were literally raw on the inside and we had to send them back, which we were still charged for. The rest of the food was incredibly average and nothing about this meal stood out as even remotely good. We definitely will not be going back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

The food was good but the service was poor. I was seated at the bar, and the bartender never did the food quality check or cleared the plates before dropping my bill. The most embarrassing part was that they started watching a video on a phone right in front of the customers as if they were at home. Definitely, they don’t care about the guest experience.

My wife and I had a last minute great dinner at Coucou. We coincidentally happened to dine on Martini Monday, which was truly a great deal including their fantastic Burger Americaine and a top-notch dirty martini. We also shared the steak frites (prepared perfectly with tasty fries) and would never miss the soft serve sundae! It's great to have such a wonderful and comfortable french-style bistro in the neighborhood, and we'll be thrilled to return soon! Thank you very much for the fun, spontaneous evening!

Visited Coucou for a Sunday dinner and the entire experience was fantastic! Excellent welcoming and attentive service, along with a lively and romantic atmosphere. But the real star here is the food and drink. The “Perfect Martini” truly lives up to its name. We had zucchini beignets and ceviche for apps. My dining partner really enjoyed the beignets and I loved the ceviche. The centerpiece for me was the Steak Frites, which I thought was amazing. I can’t wait to come back to this gem of a restaurant!

Came here for New Year’s Eve, the oysters were smaller then the palm of my hand and mind you, I have a small hand! Being French, was highly disappointed with the food and lack of respect for customers, how can a French chef serve this, wouldn’t do this in his own country I promise you.

We had a wonderful New Years Eve dinner at a little French Bistro in Venice, CA. My old office was near this area so I knew the hood. Not too congested like other areas in Venice. The food was delicious and hot upon arrival. Wonderful choices of appetizers (try the zucchini beignets) as well as side dishes. We opted for some oysters, a bowl of french onion soup, thw beignets which I mentioned as well as some cocktails. Good wine list and the entres covered fish (which I had), chicken, filet mignon (great sauce, it's always about the sauce) and of course steak frites. There are vegetarian options as well although we did not order any. The atmosphere was cozy and well lit. Music played in the background. Not too loud and not too quiet. The whole place had a great neighborhood feel to it. There was a family next to us with a mess of kids. All finishing up their soft-serve ice cream sundaes which of course we adopted for our dessert along with the chocolate mousse. Magnifique!! We left feeling not too full. Just right. All in all a very pleasurable experience. Bon Appetit!

I want to like this place, but we’ve eaten here a couple of times and the And the food has been very inconsistent. We came here the last time on a Friday night and all the dishes were off. We also ended up spending an exorbitant amount of money for two people for very, very mediocre food.
We definitely won’t be coming here again
