SELINE Reviews
The menu was so specific and tailored to the season. Each dish brought a sense of discovery and newness with it. It was a costly experience but it's worth splashing out here if you enjoy fine dining.
Dave Beran is a powerhouse having been head chef at Alinea and won a James Beard award. He also owns Pasjoli.

SELINE, a new restaurant by Chef Dave Beran, offers a creative fine dining experience focused on California cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. The menu features a variety of dishes, including mushroom, trout, squab, and a savory ice cream course. The dishes are artfully presented and often showcase fresh ingredients like caviar and truffles. The tasting menu includes cold dishes and plays with the usual order of courses, offering sweet starters and savory desserts that highlight the chef’s focus on local and fresh food.
The atmosphere at SELINE is spa-like, with simple designs, earth tones, and low candlelight, creating a calm and relaxing environment. Service is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, with staff who are eager to share insights about each dish and recognize special occasions like birthdays. The restaurant is kid-free and requests that dietary restrictions be communicated beforehand. It offers an extensive wine list and valet parking for $12, making it a convenient choice for diners. The non-alcoholic beverage pairing is also highly praised, with interesting drinks that complement each course and are explained by the staff. Overall, SELINE is aiming for at least two stars and shows strong potential to achieve that recognition.
