Food is always great here.
Fantastic meal at Felix! You really can’t go wrong with an Evan Funke restaurant. The pasta was perfectly made, and the flavors were spot on. That said, I do wish the menu felt a little more distinct from his other restaurants. It’s definitely in line with his signature style, so if you’ve been to his other spots, you’ll find a lot of overlap.
The quality and service are definitely there—the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy but lively, with a great energy for date night or a special dinner with friends. Overall, Felix is absolutely worth a visit.
One of my favorite restaurants- everything is executed extremely well and the pasta is exceptional
The food at Felix was good but not unforgettable. The arancini were crisp and cheesy, the rigatoni carbonara was rich and well balanced, and the gnocchi in tomato sauce had that classic comforting flavor. You can tell the pasta is handmade with care, and the ingredients are fresh.
That said, the overall experience left something to be desired. The service felt too casual, almost indifferent. For a restaurant of this caliber, you expect warm, attentive hospitality especially given the price point and reputation. Instead, it felt like the servers were just going through the motions.
If you’re choosing between Felix and Funke (both from the same chef), skip Felix and head to Funke. You’ll get just as good (if not better) food, and the service and atmosphere are far more polished and welcoming. That makes all the difference.
Felix Trattoria on Abbot Kinney delivered a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet warm, making it perfect for a night out with friends or a special occasion. We ordered everything family style, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The pastas, in particular, were standout. One note: I wouldn’t recommend the white sauce pizzas—those fell a little flat—so I’d suggest sticking with the traditional ones. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole evening felt well-paced and enjoyable.
Some of the best carbonara I've ever had stateside. Service was excellent, I have an allergy and they took great care and knew coming to the table no reminder needed!
Felix Trattoria never disappoints in the culinary department! Dishes are as phenomenal as ever. BUT the acoustics are challenging. Don't come here for an intimate conversation as you'll be shouting over the noise! Plus prices are a bit over the top! Still, it's a buzzy, fun place to spend an evening with friends!
Great pizzas and amazing pasta. Plates are meant to be shared and portions and generous so you don't need to order too many things. Be prepared to wait a little even if you made a reservation, about 15 min until you get sittted. Had a wonderful time, great vibe and super lively. Definitely on my radar to return!
Service is excellent. Food is family style and delicious. Home made pastas and a great variety of wines. Definitely continuing to come here!
The pasta is incredible and the freshness amazing. The Foccaaia was a class apart. Service and knowledge of staff was top notch. Only thing I'd say is the $26 glass of wine was way out of whack with value. Unfortunately this is true at all restaurants now. To have hand made pasta at this level makes this a restaurant worth spending your hard earned money on.

Great spot! The Diavola pizza was amazing. We also got the ribeye and the white truffle pasta were equally as good

Food was great, atmosphere was great, but had to wait 20 minutes after wife’s pizza had come for my pasta isn’t really okay. Not hard for those two dishes to come out at the same time. Especially for $50+

We were excited to try it after watching the Netflix documentary about the chef and owner. We drove over an hour in traffic to get there. They did a very nice job setting up the front of the house and creating an inviting atmosphere.
The reservationist did a good job. The wait staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The support staff were excellent. The best in town.
The sommelier was not very helpful but we took his suggestion anyway. When it arrived, it was very sour. My wife took a sip, shook her head and handed me the glass. I took a sip of the sample and said it might not have turned, but it’s very sour and not as he described it.
I asked if he’d like to try it and see for himself? There was an unused glass on the table. He said he did try it and declined the offer. He took the bottle and disappeared for the night.
Our waitress, who was wonderful, took our Wine order from there.
Two of the main courses we were good, but not great, the tagliatelle and the gnocchi. However the agnolotti was outstanding and worth the trip by itself.
The Diablo pizza was fair at best.
The biding dessert was good.
It was worth the experience of traveling there and we’d suggest you give it a try if you’re in town or driving through.
