Fabulous experience, outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Interesting cocktail menu. Handmade pasta you can watch being made and the grilled prawns are mouthwatering.
Cozy neighborhood eatery

For Venice this was 5* for me. Attentive staff, good cocktail/wine list, and most marvelous sausage/rabe orecchiette pasta. Loved the meatballs, okay pizza (mostly because all LA pizzas taste the same, soggy in the middle, yeasty fluffy crust and whatever else on the middle), but the pasta...it was a little chewy, a little doughy (all in the best way possible), perfectly saucy, spiced to perfection. The Nebbiolo they source washes down splendidly after all the protein/carb intake. Servers are attentive, knowledgeable, non-intrusive but always around and quick.

This place is great! Took my lady here for a birthday dinner and was very impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food! The drinks were amazing too. The atmosphere was great as well. By far one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles! It is quite pricey but for special occasions I would definitely come back!

Incredible meal and staff! I wish I took some photos but the food was so good I couldn't be bothered to pick up my phone. Staff was great and was thoroughly impressed by each dish. Special shoutout to one of the chefs Marc who took special care of us and gave great recommendations. Will definitely be back!

We decided to come here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and were hoping for a nice Italian dinner — but unfortunately, it was a HUGE letdown.
The food was okay. The only dish we actually enjoyed was the squash blossom pasta — everything else tasted pretty average, like something we could’ve gotten anywhere. The noodles were not al dente, the lobster tasted little fishy. But aside from all that, the real reason for this review is the service.
Our server acted completely uninterested from the moment we sat down. When we asked for recommendations, he just pointed to two things on the menu and walked away. No follow-up, no check-in to see how our meal was,no recommendations , no happy birthday — nothing. When you’re spending over $400 on dinner, that level of service is honestly unacceptable.
If it hadn’t been my boyfriend’s birthday, I would’ve asked to speak with a manager right then. Sadly, the experience ruined what should’ve been a special night. We would never come back.

5 stars overall, but with an *.
We went to eat for my girlfriend's birthday. We sat in the patio which seems a little less confined than inside.
Drinks: my girlfriend has a lemon drop martini and I had a Moscow mule and a red wine with dinner. All were excellent.
Dinner: Let me say that I'm a big fan of Evan Funke and his approach to pasta and Italian food and have been trying to make it to Felix for at least a year. We ordered the focaccia bread which is phe-nom-e-nal! ... Immediately I'm trying to figure out how it's made... Heads up... He has not published the recipe it so don't waste your time looking for it like I did.. Haha.
Onto the pasta: I'm a big bolognese or ragu fan so minus a traditional spaghetti and meatballs dish (which my girlfriend prefers) we opted to order the tagliatelle. Now there were several reviews that say the tagliatelle is oily.. but that's not correct. Having watched his videos and read a bit of his cookbook, it is more than likely fat from roasted bone marrow. Which I totally get as a method for developing a flavor profile. Where I think the dish went a little awry (in my opinion) was, the fat viscosity in the bolognese was a little too high for the thinness of the noodle and it weighed down the noodles a bit. We split the dish and trying to separate the noodles was a little difficult as they were sticking together. The bolognese taste was good and flavorful but couldn't eat a lot do to the fat content in the bolognese. Having said all that ... We're already planning our next visit! ... And can't wait. Oh and service was impeccable.. Very attentive and dishes cleared quickly from tables.

Terrific authentic tuscan style Italian restaurant. The pasta was fresh and delicious as were the various main entrees. Good spot for date night or large groups. Service was excellent.

My friends and I went to Felix Trattoria in Venice. I’m a big fan of Evan Funke—I even bought his cookbook and make my own sfoglia—so I was excited to take friends who hadn’t been before. We started with the funghi pizza, then shared the tagliatelle, trofie, and rigatoni. I would have ordered more, but my friends are lighter eaters. The wine list is extensive and on the pricier side, but definitely ask the sommelier for recommendations—we had a delicious Chianti Classico Riserva for under $120. Note: the corkage fee is $75, so it may be better to order from the list unless you’re bringing something special.

We had no reservations and it takes weeks to get one but we were lucky enough to get a seat at the small but quaint bar. We only had a pepperoni pizza but it was the best pizza I have had in years! Crust was thin and crunchy but at the same time juicy. It was everything you want in a pizza! This is a high end Italian restaurant but I highly recommend to order this pizza!

Incredible food experience. Beware, the salad is huge for one person, def to share. I ended up eating the entire thing though, because it was so good. The pasta was maybe one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had in my life. It was the lightest most delicate pasta - never experienced this in Italy.
take me back!

Food was excellent, but was charged $75 for bringing a single bottle of wine corkage fee. Their wine list started at near $100 per bottle, going to over thousands! So either way, if you want wine you better bring a platinum card!
