I live in the area and love Ggiata’s sandwiches. But unfortunately after my latest experience with their customer service I will not be supporting again. I ordered a sandwich to go, left and unfortunately dropped it right outside.. I was given no bag and the togo box was really flimsy. I politely told them what happened and asked if there is any way I could get another one please. The response was “Well we didn’t drop it”. And offered a discount on another if I purchased. Followed by rude looks and attitude. I’ve worked in many restaurants and also have family that owns some and although it’s unfortunate to have to remake something that was dropped.. I believe it’s the friendly / right thing to do. Especially after supporting this business as a Venice local since it’s opening. Pretty unfair in my opinion.

I have been wanting to try this place since it went viral on TikTok & was so excited, however, I was disappointed.

The female cashier at the front in her late 30’s with an olive complexion was so indifferent, she didn’t even greet us or ask me what I wanted. It was such an awkward encounter. I literally just told her the 2 items I wanted to order for my brother & I. She was like this with everyone considering we waited inside the entire time & watched her interact with incoming customers. I usually tip everywhere I go because everyone is trying to make a living but I admit I did not simply because the customer service was not there. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or if she is always like that but it’s not inviting at all. She was near the sandwich station when one of the cooks brought our sandwiches out & my brother asked her for a bag and she just barely looked over her shoulder & told him, “they’re right there” motioning us to just grab a bag. We didn’t want to grab any of the bags they have near the register in case they had other people’s orders in them so one of the cooks handed us one ultimately. I got better customer service at the little market/liquor store 2 doors down.

The chicken Caesar wrap was extremely delicious (so glad at least it was good) & the interior also is so neat but I wish I could give negative stars for the customer service.

Chicken caesar wrap was amazing!! Breaded and fried to perfection, and the lettuce was crisp at every bite! “Masterpiece” was savory and delicious! Definitely a delicious and healthy alternative to anything on the beach.

The place looks nice and the food looks good, but the wait is horrible.
the cashier did not clearly state the wait was more than 30 minutes. For this, I’m giving it a low review.

the cashier needs to clearly state the wait time.

I went on 8/3/2024 around 12pm first of all the cashier was extremely mean I was asking her some questions about certain items and she rushed me saying “do you at least know what you like.” Also, I asked for ice and she said they didn’t have ice but the restaurant next door had ice. Why would you send me to a restaurant next door? And honestly the food is overpriced and doesn’t deserve the hype the food is mid.

Busy little place. I recommend ordering ahead. My son is a big fan and most of the sandwiches. I tried the vegetarian eggplant Parmesan. It was delicious. My daughter got the caprese with gluten free bread. She gave it a thumbs up. My mom has had a breakfast sandwich which was good too. Great place near the boardwalk for a sandwich. Eggplant fries with tomato sauce was the best.

Vegetarian options: They have a vegan sandwich on the menu. I have had it before it was good but online I didn’t notice it. There are a few vegetarian choices. They have almond ricotta on one.

My girlfriend ordered the chicken Caesar wrap during a busy rush, and the order came out suspiciously quickly, but she was on her lunch break so she thought nothing of it. She took a couple bites and noticed a putrid smell, which she thought might be emanating from nearby. She finally realized it was coming from the wrap.

Clearly this wrap had been sitting out for some period of time, and that’s why it came out immediately (even though she had been advised of a 20 min wait). The food was spoiled and they served it anyway—inexcusable.

I’m writing this on her behalf because she doesn’t do Google reviews and she’s not feeling very well at the moment.

I got delivery… and wow.. was I beyond disappointed… it feels like this place has gone down hill in the worst way. I live 15 minutes away, yet the roast beef sandwich showed up soggy, cold and unedible to the point at which I couldn’t eat it and had to order from a different place. I’d suggest not checking this place out. There’s better sandwiches for less, that care about the overall product their putting out
