We love Gjelina. The food is amazing and unique. Our server was so helpful in pairing the escarole salad with our entree choice, which was orecchiette bolognese with beef cheek. The Pinot from Germany was delicious with the unctuous bolognese. For dessert, we had the salted butterscotch pot d' crème and chamomile tea. Yum. Sharing kept the cost under $100. We had talked about trying Gjelina for ten years but were never forward thinking enough to make reservations. A milestone birthday made the choice and we were not disappointed. Gjelina is one of my favorite restaurants on the west side! 10/10 food, ingredients and drinks are always top tier. I sat at the bartop and it was fun to watch some behind the scenes and my server was a delight. I also love the aesthetic and vibe of the restaurant the only downfall is the dark moody lighting makes it difficult to read the tiny font on the menu and ya girl has 20/20 vision 😂
