Talk about your happy medium! Venice is full of the fancy and the pretentious and the chains and divey street vendors but here is an unassuming place where you can get a good beer tasty glass of wine and some fine food for some of the best prices anywhere west of the 405. Actually decent alfresco seating on the north side on a neighborhood side street off of Lincoln. Get a sandwich and a fry and have a beer and don't put a hole in your pocket. Order at the counter and they bring it out. Casual fast friendly and good unassuming food. Love this place

The staff are super friendly and accommodating! I asked for the Banh mi op la— the basic egg banh mi with sambal. However I didn’t expect to get a deconstructed banh mi! It was a funny mishap. All of the ingredients are super fresh and yummy (some assembly is required). Definitely wanna go back and try out the lemongrass tofu!

I've been to the other Lokal sandwich location on National. This is the Venice location and it is super cute and modern! The ambiance is chill. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and I loved it! My only suggestion is the salsa could have more heat. The ice latte was good too. They use coffee from Underground. Service was good. I would come back to try their other breakfast items, sandwiches and burgers. Parking is free and the restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza.I find the prices to be reasonable and this is a winner for me in terms of food quality, ambiance and value !

LOVE Lokal, such a great local sandwich/breakfast spot. I have tried a lot of the menu and I love the breakfast sandwich, the breakfast burrito, and each one of the bahn mis! Coffee is delicious and there is also a selection of beers on tap as well as other refreshing drinks on the menu.The staff at Lokal is SO friendly, I have never had a less than positive experience with the service.There is both outdoor and indoor seating, and parking available on the side street and in the small parking lot of the shopping center off Lincoln. The shop is really cute and a nice place to eat if you aren't taking your order to go. Highly recommend Lokal to all looking for a solid lunch/breakfast bite!

A great place to have breakfast! I could eat the crunchy French toast every morning. I like the fact that they have outdoor seating and staff brings your order after you place it inside. The overall ambience was nice.
