Highly recommended! This place is great!
The food tasted about the same as the other Simpang Asia in Westwood area. All dishes tend to be on the sweet side (maybe as they should). All dishes had DNA of Indonesia food, but tasted more like Malaysian food but a lot sweeter. The service was good and the eating area was fine.
Loved this charming restaurant in a very unglamorous location on Lincoln Blvd.
We were welcomed by friendly smiling staff, seated straight away on a Saturday night and the food was delicious!
My meal came in a cute little envelope that once opened turned into a banana leaf plate with an array of tasty dishes neatly and rice. Very unique flavors, generous portions and attentive service. Highly recommend trying Simpang if you are in the area!

Simpang Venice is a charming restaurant located in a small strip mall off Lincoln, offering authentic Indonesian food in an elegant setting. The decor combines traditional elements with colonial influences, creating a nice atmosphere that is both casual and nice. The menu features a large variety of tasty dishes, including sambal wontons, festival rice, brisket soup, nasi goreng, roti phratha, sate ayam, and laksa. Unique items like the Pad Thai are also available. The drinks menu includes tasty options such as egg coffee (Hanoi style), teh tarik, and iced Vietnamese coffee. The food was hot and every dish tasted great. The beef rendang is tender, the Kwetiau Goreng was stirfried just right, and the Singaporean street noodle and string beans are solid. The kaya cheesecake is just right and not too sweet. The service is friendly, prompt, and professional. Although parking can be a challenge and the portion is rather small, Simpang Venice is a highly recommended spot for anyone seeking delicious food in a lovely setting.
