I really hate to write this review. I was so looking forward to my experience here at the firehouse, but was sadly so disappointed by the food quality and taste. This is not the diner experience. The coffee alone was $6 and that is crazy to me when I could go down the block and get a quality latte for a dollar more. Service was great and they mean well.
Overall the food just is not worth the price at all.

Decent place, good amount of protein in their dishes however they go very light in the seasoning also pretty light on the sauce. Firehouse is great but message to the kitchen: You inadvertently support the stereotype that Americans lack flavor so I hope this is addressed!

Came here 10 years ago when on holidays & it was good. Went back today & it was bad. Service was fast & OJ was good, that was about it. Cappuccino was horrible & not really a Cappuccino. French toast was just really plain & boring, missing some accompaniments.

Family of 3 enjoyed our meals here. Good selection on the menu and healthy options for the muscle beach goers!! Our daughter had half a chicken with rice and what a massive portion it was!! Rest of us had teriyaki salmon and teriyaki chicken with rice and very much enjoyed also. Rice was cooked lovely, friendly staff, reasonable prices and we loved the ambience and history of the place having been a former fire station. Was quite quiet when we called in the afternoon which is a shame as it's just a short walk from the beach and probably has much nicer food!! I hope it's much busier at other times of day as deserves to be!!

Visiting from AZ. Popped in for lunch. The staff, Braulio and Armando are top notch. Very friendly and provided fabulous service. They treated us so well, that we returned a few hours later for a drink. We definitely will return just to have another chat with these two gentlemen. We truly enjoyed our experience.

Called in just before lunchtime when passing. Ordered a steak sandwich and burger, orange juice (tasted freshly squeezed) and coffee. The food was very good- the fries possibly the best I've had all holiday. All the staff were attentive and friendly and the food arrived in good time. I would definitely eat there again if i was in Venice / Santa Monica any longer.

The best place for a good breakfast or lunch. When you want to treat yourself with a fitness-friendly menue this classic restaurant is the place to be.

I always wondered why this place was so quiet all the time… well I discovered for one, although they have outlets, “The boss has a policy that no one can plug into them.” I popped in to have lunch and take a quick meeting on my laptop and no exceptions! I was asked to unplug my laptop from a perfectly good outlet lol. Got the fish tacos which are 100% fish sticks deep fried and with some avo and pico added. Very mediocre. Needless to say I’ll be back never.

Excellent service staff and atmosphere. Unfortunately some of the most mediocre food I’ve had in a while. I had the Hose Breakfast hard to get breakfast wrong. But… they managed! I’d come back for a drink at the bar but not for the food.
