I’ve been going here for 40 years plus.. It’s the same and greatest sandwich in Los Angeles.. Family run and operated father and son.. The tastes steak sandwich. Recently took my daughter she agreed with me..Please never change..

The good:
This is where you want to go for a cheese steak sandwich. The closest you will get to an authentic, made-in-Philadelphia, god damn amazing piece of dining experience

The bad:
Getting here, as well as parking here, is a nightmare. Get here on a motorcycle at most of something equally as nimble.

The ugly:

Growing in Venice- all my family members enjoy this place. It’s an institution for our city. The food quality is great, these old recipes stand the test of time. I miss the Old timers behind the counter. It’s a shame how the service is shawty now. Treating my wife poorly just for asking if the order was ready/ it wasn’t even busy to stress over orders on the line. Customer service positions is not for everybody but, considering you work there- Learn to be professional at your job/ especially to our women. I will Consider this a random incident but I really wish the owners get a handle on the staff training. Make them understand we/ the customers make your pay check possible, if you don’t care about that- go work in a warehouse where your smile doesn’t matter.

I never had a cheesesteak with the tomato sauce like this. I’m not a huge fan of tomatoes but I like to get things as they are intended when I try it the first time. It was damn good! I’d probably go more basic next time since it was very messy. The lemonade 🍋was 10/10
