“I have to say this place is an amazing find and treasure. My husband was stationed in Greece for two years and while he was there we travelled to visit. While there we had some amazing food and oh boy do we miss it. Nothing compares to authentic Greek Cuisine and this place has it. From the Gyro to the bakery items, this place made me feel like I was back in Greece. I definitely recommend trying it out and falling in love. We will be forever customers ❤️“

“This is my 3rd or 4th time at Hummus Republic. The food is consistently excellent. Today I tried the Earth Burger. This this is HUGE and delicious (I have enough for at least one more meal)! Sweet potato fries - excellent, and I tried their new cinnamon sugar pita chips - WOW! Tahini Shake is super tasty. My only recommendation on the shake is that they need larger (circumference) straws. A regular straw is too narrow for this thick shake. “Let me start off with the obvious: this place is not cheap. 1 appetizer, 2 mains, dessert, wine, tax, dessert ... almost $200. IT IS WORTH IT. The food is superb and not oversized servings. The patio setting is fantastic (it could use more regular tables instead of low/benches for plating). And the owner takes extreme pride in serving and getting to know every guest. There is no rushed feeling; in fact, it is the opposite. No one under 21 allowed (so no kids); fantastic for date night or small groups. Parking can be hard to find. Reservations REQUIRED.“

“Food was very impressive. There are some small tables to eat inside but it's mostly a to-go style restaurant. You place your order at the window and take the receipt to the front to pay. It is inside of the liquor store but that doesn't take away from the quality of the food. We will be returning.“

“Great delicious food here. Came in on a Monday night and even though I was the only one in there, the food still tasted fresh and amazing. Nice surprise was the Watermelon juice. Not overly sweet, tasted just just pure fresh watermelon and very refreshing. The guys working there were kind and let me sample the different types of meats. Great service, definitely a hidden gem here in Oxnard here.“
