Great gathering spot with plenty of room inside or outside in the back with tables, for hole and a food truck. I'm a Guinness fan so I had the Oatmeal Stout. Not too heavy, smooth to drink. My nephew opted to have a gathering here rather than having a traditional reception. Good call; casual, fun, joyful and he didn't blow thousands of $$$!

Surprisingly the best aspects of Barrelhouse are not their beers but their live entertainment and occasional food trucks. Parking isn't the greatest as it's shared with other popular establishments. It's not too hard to find parking in the afternoon but they're packed when musicians start performing. The menus are displayed clearly on the screen and they most notably have a recurring beer slushie. The beers don't rotate often and consist mostly of pale ales and IPAs. The pours are good and most are offered as a taster, pint and growler. I would love to see pitchers being an option as many groups come in but that's not currently on the menu. The service is minimal and I've always had middling interactions. I wouldn't expect too much warmth or fun vibes from the staff. There are occasional food trucks in the back and the options are often tasty. There are also games for kids and adults to participate in alike. Barrelhouse has good music and ambiance on a regular basis although the staff doesn't seem to contribute to the vibes. Hopefully Barrelhouse can join the other breweries in serving pitchers.

I mean there's not much to do in Visalia, so with that said unless this place does anything crazy to deserve low stars, which I am not aware of but enlighten me if there's something I should be aware of, I cant see why they would get low stars. The ambiance is great! People of all walks of life meet here. There's games to play, live bands to listen to, and you can bring Frodo adopted from the local dog pound! I basically go to this place for one thing only and that is the Micheladas served with their hazy IPA. Don't expect it to taste exactly like a Mexican michelada, but it's a more robust flavor provided by the hazy IPA that kinda, sorta hides away the Clamato, but still lets it peek through. It's somewhat of an acquired taste, but you acquire it quick if you are a fan of Micheladas! I have not tried any other beer and that's because they mostly serve IPAs and truth is I hate IPAs! I don't do seltzers either, but they have this as an option along with some slushy drinks for the hot summer nights! So if you're driving by town headed to the Sequoias (which by the way is way further than the 35 mins they tell you) or are considering visiting, check it out. They also have locations in Fresno, Paso Robles (the original) and some other places too!

Making our way home after a long holiday road trip, one of our last stops was in Visalia. Looking for something to do on a Tuesday night after the holidays, my husband and I walked over to barrelhouse brewing with our two dogs from the Airbnb we were staying in. The space itself is quite large with both indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed both indoors and (obviously) outdoors. The night we were there it was quite crowded so we ended up sitting out on the patio. Unfortunately, they do not have space heaters, which our two large dogs did not mind, but that meant it was a chilly evening for my husband and I. They had a nice variety of beers, ciders, and seltzers on tap. We enjoyed our respective seltzers and dark ales. The service was fast and friendly. Definitely check the spot out if you find yourself in the Visalia downtown area.

This is a solid brewery in Visalia. The venue is wide open with a few old school pin ball machines. There is a decent size back patio with corn hole and the string and hook game. There is usually a food truck in the back area. The service is great and the beer is good. Overall, a good place to visit.

The beer slushy is better than a Costco smoothie. Please keep it around ?
