I really don't enjoy leaving anything less than a positive review because I know how hard it is to run a restaurant, especially a family-owned one. In fact, we came to Los Arbolitos because someone highly recommended it and told us the breakfast was excellent. After hearing that, I brought my family expecting a great experience.

Unfortunately, the experience fell well below what we expected.

I'll start with the positives because there definitely were some. The food itself wasn't bad. The breakfast burrito had a good flavor, but it was incredibly plain. It felt like it was missing the little touches that make a breakfast burrito memorable. It filled me up, but it wasn't something I'd crave or go out of my way to order again. The pozole was also good—not amazing, but certainly enjoyable.

Where things really started to fall apart was everything surrounding the food.

Our table was sticky and looked like it hadn't been properly wiped down before we sat. Some of the dishes also appeared less than clean, which immediately makes you question cleanliness throughout the restaurant. That's something that's hard to overlook.

On top of that, my order was forgotten completely. Everyone else at my table had already received their meals and was nearly finished eating before mine finally came out. Eating alone after your family has already finished isn't exactly the breakfast experience anyone hopes for.

The service also left a lot to be desired. I always try to be friendly, smile, and treat staff with respect because I know restaurant work is difficult. Even with that approach, I felt like the customer service lacked warmth and courtesy. It wasn't outright rude, but it certainly wasn't welcoming either.

One small detail that really stood out was the coffee cup lid. It barely stayed on the cup and felt like it could pop off at any second. I was genuinely worried I'd spill hot coffee all over myself or one of my family members. It seems minor, but little things like that contribute to the overall experience.

This restaurant has so much potential. The food has a solid foundation, and I can understand why people recommend it. But potential alone isn't enough. Cleanliness, attention to detail, accurate orders, and friendly customer service matter just as much as what's on the plate.

I sincerely hope this review is taken as constructive criticism rather than an attack. I'd honestly like to come back one day and update this review because I believe this place could easily become a 5-star breakfast spot if they focused more on consistency, cleanliness, and customer experience.

For now, I'd give Los Arbolitos a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Good food with plenty of room to improve the overall dining experience.

I don’t mind pricy food if it taste good but my
Birria tacos were overly dripping in grease a lot of fat on the meat the consommé was all oil no flavor, also got the loaded fries for 17$ definitely wasn’t loaded and fries were so cold the rest of the food was ok but I wouldn’t be back after spending 80$ on 4 plates 2 drinks

Life Is Sweet

This is a restaurant I don’t recommend to anyone. The service was terrible. My brother and I went on Sunday morning (4/26/26) to have breakfast and spend some time together. I asked if I could try the menudo to see how spicy it was, and the girl just looked at me and said, “No, it’s not spicy.” I asked again if I could just have a taste, and she didn’t say anything—she just turned around and brought it, clearly in a bad mood.

I told her I liked it and ordered two bowls. Then I asked if I could sit at a table over there, and she said, “If you want—it’s dirty, I’ll clean it right now.” But she never came back, and she didn’t send anyone to clean it either.

More than half an hour went by and our order still hadn’t come out. I looked over and they were just laughing and joking around. I went up and said, “Excuse me, it’s been over half an hour and my food hasn’t come.” She said, “Sorry, but there are a lot of orders.” I asked, “How much longer do I have to wait?” and she said, “Until your turn comes.”

I told her the menudo is already made and just needs to be served, but they kept fooling around instead of working. There was another couple in the same situation—they had been there even before we arrived. My brother ended up walking out. I went to the register and asked for my money back. She never even said sorry.

Along with us, at least three other groups walked out. It’s really disappointing that they have no organization. The girl at the register just stands there like she doesn’t even want to be there.

I ended up losing more than an hour of my time. I went back to work upset, lost my lunch break, and I wasn’t even hungry anymore from the frustration

Food quality and taste have gone way down since COVID. Most items are flavorless now and way more expensive.

Cisco GOD'S BEAST

This is the 3rd time this happens. I ordered an Asada burrito, but i dnt eat fillers, so i asked for no rice, also asked to add a second meat for an extra coast which i was ok with, when i got home with my to go order the burrito had very very little meat if any and was very over filled with beans so much that the burrito couldn’t stay closed, a messy dripping bean mess, and did not have any of the sour cream or guacamole it was charged for as well, so at the end of the day $18 dollars for a big and messy Bean burrito, out of 5 times i have placed this same order and being the third time this happens not going there again. I dnt mind paying, i just dnt like being taken advantage of. Sloppy work smh!
