Belching Beaver Brewery Tavern and Grill (Downtown Vista)

My wife and have been coming here for years and we still love the atmosphere, it's up beat and comforting at the same time. The beer is really good with one of their awesome burgers.

Just had a couple Slightly Stoopid's. I enjoy stouter beers but this really hits the spot. Bought it for the name only but really pleased and now will try others from Belching Beaver.

This place has been here for quite a while. It's basically a bar with a lot of people and mediocre food. Lots of families with kids running around.

My go-to place for Peanut Butter stout on nitro. The food was very good, hanger steak, shrimp and pesto pasta.

This place is our local go-to. While it's a little pricey for a weekly splash, it's definitely worth it. They serve unique and delicious beers, great food, and the back patio is open all year.

Also, management is kind and empathetic. They absolutely saved our hides when another venue went out of business and couldn't host our party. BB letting us set up on the back patio with a very large group, and not a huge amount of notice. I was so impressed with the team coming together to help us, and it was all smiles. Highly recommend going our of your way for this Vista gem.

Parking: There is a back lot with plenty of free parking, about a 2 min walk (if not less).

Kid-friendliness: The outside space is open and kids can run around in teh relaxed atmosphere. There are often a lot of dogs though, so that might cause some concern, depending on the child.

Spicy chicken sandwich was tasty. However, when you enter the tavern, the smell is not welcoming. Also, flies were hovering over the food constantly which was annoying

I was impressed with the food and the Peanut Butter Stout. The prices were affordable for California. I see why my friends come here, since I moved out of state and I haven't been in downtown Vista for almost 20 years.
