A hometown staple for vista, Danny's service and food are great!!!! The ice cream is every kids dream with such a huge amount if options to choose from!!! And the settings have the home town feel and is pleasant to sit in the sun and enjoy your meal or treat and converse with family or friends, I will forever choose peppertree as my go to for the hometown classic, the history of peppertree in vista is rich and us definitely of honorable mention!!!

Without a doubt, this is one of the most disapointing experiences that one can have when visting, for the first time, a tiny little goldmine such as this, on a beautiful, sunny, Saturday afternoon in the quaint Vista Village. I say this for one very important reason, that in my opinion, could really make this place so speacial for everyone, not just the patrons but also the employees, and would undoubtedly really improve sales. What is that very amazing thing that is missing? Self-Respect. Yes, its posible for a business to embody the Principles of Self-Respect. If this little gem, took time to consider how it presents itself to the world, it would turn over a brand new leaf, where customer service and appearances are concerned. Be not only polite to your customers but be friendly and cheerful, rather here, I encountered a dreadfully unhappy employee who could careless about provding a smile, let alone a please or thank you. Oh she knew her menu well enough, handled the logistics of the job. But so what, any elemetry school kid today could do the same. She completly lacked cheer in her work. This type of service will cause a discerning customer never to return. Don't put your muggy disposition into my ice cream. -- Your selling Ice Cream for goodness sakes. And how about cleaning up the place...alot? Lord knows how long that Tshirt has been hanging in the window. Are you really trying to sell that? Does old-fashioned mean drad and dirty? I don't think so. Old Christmas lights hang half burt out. Is that for ambiance? styrofoam cups, now you just being cheap. If this place had any self'respect it would recognize what a valuable oportunity it is to be able to make others happy and get paid for it. It would appreaciate the customer and demonstrate that appreaciation in everything. I decided to stop in here today to treat myself to a special experience, not just an ice cream sunday, which I can get anywhere. Unfortunatley there wasn't anything special about it.

Iconic classic vista location. It's an absolute pleasure to stop here every time. Everything they have is wonderful. Walk up to the wondow to order and hang out nearby outside. It is a great place to come with a whole group of people. Truly a must visit spot!!!!

This is one of the few old landmark ice cream shops left in San Diego County. Located in Vista in the newly renovated central part of Vista, it's always a great stop. We happened to be in the area and stopped by to get an Oreo shake. Always great ice cream and shakes. I've never tried their food, but the line was long, so I imagine it's also excellent. I will update you regarding the food once I actually eat here.

Lovely old school ice cream shop in the heart of Vista. The strawberry soft serve is a must. The line gets really long during the summer and slows down when they get really busy. The order accuracy also is not great. If you make a special request you might have to ask them to remake it. It's a cool spot and they have lots of great ice cream options (soft serve, shakes, banana splits, etc), but the speed of service and the order accuracy can be frustrating.

Just watched a very non hygenic woman at the cash register assemble burgers with her long finger nails and bare hands. Cross contaminating the counter like CRAZY. Totally unacceptable way to prepare food. When I asked her about why she wasn't being hygenic she assured me she was (with a really bad attitude) but I physically saw she wasn't. I asked for a refund and left. How absolutely DISGUSTING. I wanted to try their burgers but I guess if this is how they prep their food I will never ever have their food. Wow how gross!!! Long nails just diving into all the condiments standing right at the register helping people with cash omg.... The health department needs to give this place a refresh on how to handle food.

Greatest mom and pop ice cream shop ever!!. Chili cheese fries, and a Bahama blast shake. Life long go to on cheat day. Danny is a really great owner. Pillar of this community. My family has loved pepper tree frosty for 5 generations. It's a part of "home" for us. Thanks to the Villasenor family of vista. God bless.
