Always eat here any time I see it at any festival. Food is always amazing and service is fantastic. Lines get pretty long but it seems to go by quickly. Highly recommended!!

Visited their booth at Millbrae Art and Wine Festival and ended up waiting 30 minutes for an overpriced $23 burger. The bun was cold, the chicken was dry… Really disappointing.

Nothing we had was terrible but given the competition out there for just fried chicken there are simply many better options. Getting it to go it seems like they dint know how to pack the fried chicken so it isn't wet and greasy when you open it.
The batter was tasty but not better than KFC or Hot Boys. The grilled sandwich was also meh. Great ingredients that managed to come together in a disappointing way. Too creamy , dull taste, just meh.
Fries were really good.
People very nice.

Just ordered the chicken tenders with barbeque sauce. Marinated in buttermilk, then deep fried, then smothered in barbeque sauce. Worth every dollar. Yum.

Horrible experience at the King of the County BBQ. $66 for 1 pulled pork sandwich, 1 brisket sandwich, 1 plain waffle fries. Mandatory 18% tip. That’s insane! Took 40 minutes to get my food. They ran out of brisket and gave me a second pulled pork sandwich without telling me. What?!?! Ran out of napkins, ran out of cup lids…. To top it off, the food was terrible. All mayonnaise on the pulled pork sandwich, almost no pork. For TWENTY DOLLARS???? Needs better management at fair venues. Terrible experience.
Edit: Sorry, I don’t buy your explanation. $22 for a brisket sandwich (no side) doesn’t cover your costs, so you add $3.96? Ain’t no way.

12 dollars for two dried chicken strips lol
How do businesses like this stay in business?
The people at the next table were so upset we got up and left as opposed to being ripped off

I’m surprised to see that many users have raised similar concerns—and rightly so. While the pricing at this joint is outrageous ($27 for a chicken burger and $22 for truffle fries), I acknowledge that businesses have the right to charge whatever they wish, as long as people are willing to pay. That said, I do take issue with the 14% service charge added on top of already inflated prices.
This practice reflects the “tipping culture gone wild” trend in the U.S., and although frustrating, there’s little anyone can do. There’s no legal governance or standardization for such surcharges—recent bills like SB478 and 1524 aim only to ensure disclosure, not limit or regulate these fees.
My bigger concern, however, is the business model employed by such joints. I did some digging and found that they often target overcrowded festivals and events—places where choices are limited and time is tight. By the time you realize you’re paying over $30 for a modest chicken burger, it’s too late. You’re either dealing with a hungry, crying kid or simply don’t have viable alternatives.
Some additional observations:
These businesses boldly advertise “Fresh chicken used” on large banners, while hiding “14% service charge applies” in barely visible print.
At the event I attended, I was 6th in line and there were about 12 people behind me. Four staff members were working inside the truck. It took 40 minutes just to place my order, and then another 25 minutes to receive my food. Sure, long waits are expected at festivals, but this seemed excessive.
To make matters worse, people often irrationally join the longest line, assuming it must be the best. And since most of us don’t have hawk eyes, we only notice the fine print after we’re too committed to back out.
In conclusion:
As business owners, we should reflect on what kind of ventures we want to build. Are we chasing quick profits at any cost? Or do we want to foster trust, serve our community, and grow sustainably? When customer satisfaction and transparency are prioritized, revenue will follow.
And as consumers, awareness is key. It’s okay to splurge occasionally—just make sure it’s by choice, not by trap. Walk up to the ordering station, read the pricing and the fine print, before getting in line.

I just ordered chicken tenders and waffle fry’s from this booth at the concord kids fest. Let me start off by saying the booth is beautiful and I love the display of menu options but all of the effort put into the booth does not match the quality of the food.
My chicken had absolutely no flavor, and my waffle frys were cold. Given I waited 10 minutes and no line i would have expected they would have been hot.
My review is called for because I spent $30.00 for two strips and an order of cold waffle fry’s. Completely overpriced for such items. I left the event feeling ripped off and still hungry. I threw the items away. I should have brought it back but I work in the food industry and I didn’t not want them thinking i wanted anything for free.
Do better.

This is just a food truck parked in front of a restaurant they say will open in about 8 months. I ordered a Hen sandwich, a battered slab of white meat with mayo and pickles on a brioche bun. It was ok but hardly worth $15 with their low overhead. I won’t be going back.

Very overpriced. Took an hour to get food from a food truck even though they weren't busy! Not enough staff and all slow as turtles. Inefficient processes are obvious. Bun was stale. For a $25 sandwich, that's ridiculous.

Ate at the food truck for lunch, had the $16 chicken sandwich. Was huge and delicious, even though a bit messy to eat. Would come back. 👍

incredibly kind and welcoming owner and delicious chicken!!
edit: just read some of the other reviews and was shocked at how negative they are. the food was incredible and the service was excellent. prices were also very reasonable in my opinion. festivals / street events are so busy and expensive in nature, I guess some people don’t realize that!
