I suggest you do NOT use online TOAST ordering during peak times or do NOT promote it without being honest about wait times. Today I ordered on Toast today expecting about a 20 minute wait and AFTER I had ordered AND paid for it, the online told me that I had a 1 hour and 20 minute wait! I went in and was told that was correct and that I needed to wait for an hour still for ONE sandwich. Staff was rude to me for the first time ever. Excellent sandwiches. Lots of selection and quite reasonable prices. Been around since 1992 for a reason!
We heard some great things about the sandwiches so we were excited to try them out. We had no idea how busy this place would be. Clearly a very popular spot and now we know why.
I had my heart set on a tri-tip sandwich but they were sold out so I went with the chicken pesto and it did not disappoint!
The sandwiches are pretty big so it was my lunch and dinner that day.

Based on the reviews, Morucci's is a favorite deli in the whole world and one of the best small delis around the Bay Area. It is a Walnut Creek staple and a favorite deli in the east bay. The place is small but the food is amazing. The sandwiches are really good, with the #1 Italian Sub being the best value at $11. The chicken pesto and the Caesar sandwiches always hit the spot. The meatball was 10/10, and the ham, cheese breadsticks are exceptionally good. The experts determine the best bread and cheese for the sandwich type chosen. However, the breakfast burrito was disappointing, with chewy bacon and hard potatoes. It is a great place to pick up a yummy sandwich. Parking is limited and can get busy quickly with a line out the door. The wait time is a little long, but the quality sandwich is worth the wait. More seating could be useful as this place is popular. It is definitely worth the wait, and a 10 out of 10 recommend.
