The orders took long, but it was really good
Amazing Dumplings!! Try Pan Fried Dumplings.
The ginger and scallion noodles are really really good, but unfortunately, that is the only highlight. The dim sum itself is meh, which is bad for me because I love dim sum. I much prefer Creek House Dim Sum or 88 Bao Bao for actual local dim sum.
Recently tried this Dumpling place on Main Street. We had two servers attending our table of 4 - a man and woman. The woman was extremely nice and a bit confused but the man was exceptionally rude. He dropped our first order on my husband ( this was a mistake most certainly) and then we ordered a few extra items after the initial order which he chastised us about. He claimed the kitchen was getting confused and to order everything at once. This is not our first time at a dumpling place, so if you don't want people to continue adding dishes throughout their meal to fit onto small tables then you should not provide the option to continuously add to an order. Take orders the traditional way instead allowing customers to scan a barcode which allows us to keep adding to our table. He definitely ruined the experience and left a bitter taste in my mouth. Also the prices are higher than Union City or Fremont. I get the prices are higher because of the location but the portion size should accommodate the price. Definitely won't be returning to this place because of the rudeness we experienced.
There is a great place on Locust Street that we tried a couple of months ago - that place is busier but definitely worth the wait and the staff is extremely courteous.
My son recommended this place, and I’m sorry I waited so long! We ordered so much food they had to move us from a 2-top to a 4-top just to accommodate! We took a lot of leftovers, but there’s not one dish I would have removed from our order. Everything was felt, you could taste the various flavors of dumplings, the noodles were amazing and not “too saucy”, you could really taste the noodle. I HIGHLY recommend- and, the prices are incredible.
The food was excellent, the Juicy Pan-fried Pork Buns were great and very hot (temp). The garlic noodles were also delicious. We were there for the food not the atmosphere.
dumpling hour is a happy hour
DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!! The staff dropped a heavy roll of plastic on my girlfriend and hit right on the face while walking through. Food is also barely eatable, and the space is so tiny and have safe hazards to do not put shelf in public walking area. It is dangerous for customers and workers. Especially it is on a path to the restroom.

Not sure what hype is all about. Nothing special here. Just another average dumpling place. Service wasn't that good.

I just came back from a trip. Couldn’t wait to order the food to take home. However, it was disappointing. The hot and sour soup was the least tasty hot sour soup I ever had. Only tasted soy source.
The shrimp dumplings had no liquid inside. The takeout bag had no serving utensils.

Delicious dumplings in downtown WC- we are so lucky to have you! Showed up for dinner on a Saturday night. I worried with the line of people waiting but we were seated about 5 mins after putting our names on the list. We were a party of 2. So many dumplings to choose from. We got the ginger & scallion noodles, pan fried pork buns, pork won tons. All were delicious and perfect amount of food for 2 people. The service was incredibly quick and staff were friendly. We will be back!

A busy dumpling house in downtown Walnut Creek. It's not a fancy place and accommodations are tight, but the service is quick and friendly and the dumplings are always on point. I'm a big fan of the juicy pan fried pork buns, the spicy Xiao long bao soup dumplings and the ginger and scallion noodles, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu in my opinion. My favorite takeout joint for sure, but eat in is fun too and since the dumplings are still piping hot (and take care when you bite into them!).
Vegetarian options: Some great veggie options but the best dishes are meat-based in my opinion.

Came for brunch, overall a 4.5 out of 5. I ordered the XLB, chili wontons, scallion garlic noodle, and pancake.
I enjoyed the XLB broth, it tasted flavorful while not being overly salty. Felt like the soup inside tasted cleaner than other places I've been to. Chili wontons were good, the texture of the wrappings was smooth but still had a nice chew to it. My taste are skewed as a socal resident who only orders Chinese food when visiting norcal.
