My wife and I dropped into La Ezkina recently to try a restaurant we have not visited previously. The place was completely empty when we walked in and the workers seemed thrilled to have customers. Our service was excellent and the food was good but it was such a bummer to see nobody else there. It must be so hard to run a restaurant these days. The bar completely dominates the middle of the restaurant and I found it distracting. In a way, it’s not clear if they want to be a bar or a restaurant. I’m sure I’ll be back at some point. Hopefully others will try it too.

Victor was great. The food was just ok. We g9t the drink wrong. Then the food came out wrong! When you have all the options in WC it's hard to choose this place over others. Nothing stood out .

This was my first time visiting and every item we ordered was delicious. The chilaquiles were flavorful and fulfilling, the french toast was fresh, vibrant, and melted in your mouth. Our margaritas were flavorful and strong. Overall an excellent experience and well worth the try.

First time I had their brunch, and I loved it!!! My Mexican omelette was oozing with flavor and abundance! The portion with the potatoes was so generous I had the rest the next day. Did I mention the homemade tortillas?? Homemade means the secret ingredient is love. You can tell they love what they do because you can taste it in the food. I live 400 miles away but I will be back on my next trip to the Bay Area!

Such a hidden gem in WC. Been here twice now and both times the food was excellent and even got better the second go around. Service was great and hospitable. Couldn’t ask for more from a restaurant.

Pretty ordinary in all departments. Clean enough. Service OK. Food OK. On the pricey side. Off street parking which is a plus.
Only one other table was occupied the day we were there.

Note: I am skeptical of some of the positive reviews here and believe they could be paid for.
I will not be going back.
Service: I can't tell if they are understaffed or overwhelmed or if they had a kitchen issue. Our server went MIA for at least 10 minutes. He didn't know the drinks, there were 2-3 servers, it was kind of a mess. The server misinformed us about Taco Tuesday, he said we got 3 tacos and a side for $9, then charged us $20, we caught it on the receipt, and he updated the receipt (without explanation) to $9.5 for tacos and $5 for a side. When we asked, he said, yeah, well you ordered the sides (we only ordered the sides because he told us they were free). For 5 people, 3 adults, this meal was too expensive and they weren't attentive enough.
Food: The food was fine. One child loved the caesar salad (not a Mexican dish...) The rest was fine, nothing great. They charge $8 for chips and salsa, which is a little insulting, especially given I was in SF at Poc Chuc and that only costs $2.5. I understand charging for chips and salsa, but it better really wow me. This didn't. Food was OK, just not for the price we ended up paying.
Drinks: Margarita was average at best. Beer was a beer, hard to mess up.
Atmosphere: Indoors is nice, has a TV, clean. Outdoors is nice too, but you're staring at a road and dilapidated USPS building. That's not the restaurant's fault, just straight shooting.

We had a wonderful lunch at la esquina..My husband and I tired several plates . The chilaquiles rojos, octopus, shrimp tacos and ceviche. All were amazing. I am one of those who doesn't like to eat out at Mexican restaurants because they could make that at home. This restaurant proved me wrong.. EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT.. Highly recommend.. You won't be disappointed. And you must try the Tamarindo mezcal drink.. The staff was also very friendly and attentive.

5 Stars – Absolutely Incredible Experience
From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the service. The owner is hands-on and clearly takes pride in the place. The staff is friendly, attentive, and just all-around amazing.
The vibe here is on point — great energy, clean environment, and a space you actually want to hang out in. The food? Fantastic. Everything I ordered was fresh, flavorful, and exceeded expectations.
Special shoutout to Marisela behind the bar — super personable and made the whole experience even better.
This place has it all. I’ll be a regular for life.

Pretty cool spot. Great food. Nice bar and off the beaten path, so parking is pretty easy. (This is a big thing)
The people there were super kind and lovely and generous. It's definitely a return visit.

Amazing food, waitress was very friendly and the bottomless mimosas were very generous. Love the place, I just wish we can move it closer to downtown. Lots of parking on the back .

We celebrated my wife’s birthday here, and it was our first time — we absolutely loved it! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Javier, our server, was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion or a family dinner. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended — ask for Javier!
