La Fontaine Walnut Creek

Quiet on a Friday night. Staff friendly. Service was slow. Food was average. Desert was good. Drinks watered down. Wanted to like it more but disappointed. Expected better.

Four of us had a reservation on a Saturday evening at 6:30. It wasn't crowded when we arrived and we got a nice table near the window. The service was great. The food was fabulous. We learned that the specials change weekly. Our dishes were so tasty. We had halibut, steak, and a pasta dish...all delicious and perfectly prepared. The beet salad was really good. The brussel sprouts also delicious. Nice drink menu and wine selection. We definitely recommend this restaurant!! Can't wait to go back!

La Fontaine is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is so delicious, the service excellent and it is lovely inside. We went there to celebrate two friend's birthday and they gave us two free wonderful desserts a Tiramisu and a Panna Cotta. My favorite dish is the Poulet Aux Champignons. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing restaurant with amazing food and great service. This is the perfect restaurant for a special occasion. The staff is so welcoming and right on point. My husband and I were looking for a place that was new to us to celebrate his birthday and are so happy we found La Fontaine. There is also a cozy bar area that would be fun to try after work. We will definitely be back.

We celebrate ladies birthdays 4 times a year at different restaurants and we will not be returning to LaFontaine. We should have left when we arrived at 5:30 and there wasn't another person in the restaurant. Our drinks took way to long and sat at the bar finished with no one else in the restaurant. Two other staff members walked by our drinks and let them sit until our server picked them up. I don't enjoy a restaurant where team work isn't the name of the game. Then when our food was served a large hair was in the food. It wasn't just on top it was mixed in so someone in the kitchen isn't putting their hair back. Our server apologized but it honestly didn't feel like enough. The manager should have checked on us after something like this happened. We did notice our server put her hair up after this and all I can say is I hope she didn't do it in the kitchen or we know what happens. We asked to speak to the manager after the check was brought because no other apology was made. When we said we didn't think enough was done the manager said we don't comp anything above food. We had had 3 meals and multiple drinks so why wasn't a different meal comped since my friend didn't want anything else? Why was it only her 2nd meal only to be comped. The manager could have made a gesture of one cocktail or a friends meal but because she didn't have an appetite nothing else was done? It just smells of bad customer service. The manager really didn't care and no way this restaurant will be around in a few months. It's sad and I understand cocktails are where you make your money but it would have gone along way with ladies who just want to eat together a few times a year. No I don't recommend this restaurant and I hate writing reviews like this.

First time trying with my parents. They love it and so did I. The food the ambiance. The service 10/10 we all finished our meal. And top of that to end the night with dessert.

Had a party of 14 dine at this restaurant last night. 3 of us ordered Seafood, and all 3 of us have gotten food poisoning. I'm only leaving this review as when I tried to call to let the restaurant know that their seafood is causing food poisoning, so that they can do quality control in hopes no one else gets sick, no one picked up the phone. Maybe they'll see it here today.

Other's that did not order a seafood dish ordered the duck breast (which was rubbery and tough) and the pasta with bacon in it (dish had no flavor other than black pepper).

Quite an underwhelming restaurant for the price.

The waiters and waitresses are very attentive, their kitchen is just awful.

Came here for a Thanksgiving dinner with family and enjoyed both the food and service. The atmosphere is modern and very clean. I had the steak and frites; delicious. My family enjoyed their entrees as well. The dessert were amazing and if I could eat them all, I would. Highly recommend this place.

I hosted my future daughter in law’s bridal shower at La Fontaine today. Chef Hasan was wonderful to work with and promt to reply to emails. The food was excellent and the staff was exceptional, professional, kind, and provided wonderful service. I highly recommend hosted an event here.

Dinner at La Fontaine on Broadway in WC last night, and it is always wonderful! Terrific ambience, friendly staff, delicious food…and Chef Hassan always makes sure everyone is happy with their experience. It’s one of our favorite places to go for a night out. If you have been, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, try it! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you La Fontaine and Chef Hassan!

Great atmosphere for casual drinks. Half of the restaurant setting like a bar, low armchairs with small tables. The food was good except the mussels in the Bouillabaisse may not at their freshest status. The portion however is very generous and the waitress was kind enough to ask the kitchen to split the food to two plates and at half portion, the size is adequate for a normal meal. At the same time we ordered Grill octopus as appetizer and it tasted great but at $24 price tag, we only got with one leg. I would say that was too small portion for the price. So we have mixed feelings about whether this is a restaurant we should be eager to visit again.

everything was fantastic. service was amazing and the owner was super kind and knowledgeable about the menu. food was SOOO good. the seafood pasta was to die for. better than sf restuants and super fresh
