A pizza is not just a pizza at this restaurant. It's very different and very good. They call it a pinsa... cloud like pizza. Their description is accurate. It's crispy outside and soft inside... and delicious. We ordered 2 pinsas. One has the same name as the restaurant and was soooooo good, very tasty. We enjoyed both. Their octopus appetizer was one of the best I've ever eaten. Simple preparation that allowed the quality ingredients to shine. The octopus was fresh and tender... not chewy. My spouse loved the grilled exterior of the octopus. I was sorry we did not order 2 of them. Salome our server was wonderful. Her suggestions about the food and wine were spot on. Her only mistake was not suggesting that I order my own octopus appetizer... Still we hope she is our server when we return. Our next time will be for dinner in order to enjoy their full menu.

We have dined at Montesacro several times and love this restaurant. I am a big fan of amatriciana and I have been disappointed many times, but Montesacro does this pasta dish right. The guanciale is crispy and chewy all at the same time, and the sauce has a nice smokiness and a little kick to it. If this is your kind of thing, I highly recommend it! They’ll do a simple pasta marinara for the kids (it’s not listed on the menu but is available and is quite tasty!), which my daughter devours, and we all including the 4 year old enjoy the pinsas. We’ve also dined here with friends that need gluten free. Montesacro is a great place if you need gluten free, our friends were very pleased with their options including gluten free pasta and bread. Service is also wonderful and the bartender makes excellent drinks. If you’re an amaro fan, he’ll make you a great amaro cocktail. You can tell the staff at this restaurant take pride in what they are serving. Highly recommend Montesacro!

Atmosphere is nice. But please don’t make your guests wait 7 minutes in the entrance- only 2 tables were busy, just as a note. I guess it was too early and there was just 1 waiter. The service was good after, helpful employees.Pizza was fantastic, very flavorful and crispy.Pasta carbonara was fine. The cauliflower salad was very interesting, tasty.But- never serve 2nd mimosa which is twice smaller in size than what you served me before. It should not be a quarter of a glass… especially for $15.Loved hearing Italian language however, missing Italy.Good place, maybe visited at the wrong time. Pizza was good.

WOW! First time here, truly a lovely place with unique and delicious flavors. It is dining experience, restaurant is very pretty, would be great for a romantic meal. Excellent service as well

Order the Pinsa! It is Delicious, light and crispy. My favorite is the Pinsa Tormarancia, but all of them are fabulous! As appetizer try the Supplì oppure il Polpo grigliato, both excellent

The four of us went out on Friday night and sat outside under the heat lamps. It was plenty warm in our jackets and the wait staff was excellent and super attentive. The highlights were two of the four famous pastas from Rome. We chose Cacio y Pepe and Amatriciana and both were simply delicious. Also the VEAL CHOP was fabulous and huge although the price surprised us, in fairness it could have easily served the four of us. Well done Montesacro and the PINSA was fantastic as well.

The food was delicious a cozy environment, and it was very crowded for the small space, which made it difficult to hear everyone at the table talk. I like the energy, just wish it was easier to hear. Our waitress was attentive.

Great location and food. Would be all 5 stars if they added another server for Sunday lunch/brunch. Lone server was great but handling the entire dining room by himself looked to be a challenge. A young female was filling water bottles and set up a few tables but didn't seem to be working up a sweat. We'll definitely go back for the food and location but our dining expectations will be lower.

We had a great dinner here. Authentic Italian food that was incredible and reminded us of our trip to Italy! It's a little small so we were sat very close to other patrons but honestly that didn't matter - the food & service was so good! We will definitely be back!

The pinsas are very tasty as are the 3 traditional pastas they serve, which do make you feel like you are in Rome. The wine selections and cocktails are great, and the overall dining experience for two couples was really fun and enjoyable!

Our server (woman) just wasn't friendly and we waited a really long time just to order. We kind of felt like a bother, with no special requests or questions. Not our usual experience here. Hoping it's just a one-off.

Everything about this place is spot on. The owners are unparalleled when it comes to quality and style. They have an expensive but impressive menu filled with locally sourced and perfectly presented dishes. They’ve been willing to accommodate gluten-free and other necessities with allergies and autoimmune conditions and their staff remembers details and preferences. Highly recommend for a special occasion, date night, solo or for a small gathering.
