Poke House - Walnut Creek

Went there at 8:30 and the door was locked. They are supposed to close at 9!

Almost stabbed myself with this one today - been a loyal customer for years and I’ll probably will come back, but please be careful with this ones

Food was decent, but the service really needs improvement.
Some of the staff were rude and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. It would be great if they showed a bit more care and passion for their job.

They don’t even acknowledge customers when they come in. There were three employees, and one of them seemed to be working on an order, but the other two were just twiddling their thumbs. When the customer service is nonexistent, then the taste of the food doesn’t matter.

Had a bad experience. Unfriendly staff, not rude. No acknowledgement that there were customers in the restaurant. Super long wait time. Inconsistent portions. Taking online orders instead of people in line. 20 mins +/- to help 3 guests is wild. I went right at lunch time in the middle of the week. 2 stars because the product is not bad. But not good enough to deal with the service.

DO NOT DOOR DASH FROM HERE!!! They put 2 small staples on the bag that’s it!! Not sticker to close poke bowl, just put the top on like regular!! I received my food with one staple missing and the lid completely off!! I called the restaurant asking for a refund and they said take it up with DoorDash. BUT YOU GUYS COULD HAVE PROPERLY SECU CURED THE LID WITH A SEAL SO IF SOMEONE WANTED TO TAMPER WITH IT THEY WOULD HAVE TO BREAK THE SEAL!!!! So this actually falls on YOU not them!! Couldn’t get a refund for either so thank you for making me waste $30

No rice!

What poke bowl place runs out of rice during open hours with apparently none more being made?

Unfortunately, it depends on who makes the bowl, so the amount they put in is different. Today, a person who is new to poke made it for me and the amount he put in the bowl is very little compared to the amount that he really should have. I don't know if this is how they train them or because some put more and the new employees almost always put very little. This is not the first time this has happened to me

Great Poke and Hand Rolls! Highly recommend the spicy tuna for most flavor. Yummy!!

I think they mainly do online orders. Not many folks seems to be eating there are staying to eat inside. Also they always seem to be out of avocado 🥑 I have been 3 times and never been able to get avocado 🥑 the sauces are fair.

Poke House is a bit out of the way for me, but I have religiously returned over and over again as the freshness and flavor are the best around!
I never thought I would like the zucchini noodles bet they are a great addition with sushi rice!

It's been years since I had a poke bowl, and Poke House did not disappoint! Their House Salmon Bowl with Scottish salmon, masago, edamame, cucumber, white and green onions, furikake, sesame oil, citrus ponzu, and house-made sriracha aioli was fantastic. Served over rice or salad with seaweed salad and crab salad, it was really tasty and a quick meal.
