Yan's China Bistro & Bar offers delicious and high-quality Chinese food, using good ingredients in dishes like dumplings, kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef, and combination rice. The service is wonderful and commendable, with attentive waitstaff and helpful personnel. Customers find it worth the cost. Located in the Bay Area, it is a popular spot for those in the know, and the owner, Alex, is an impressive chef who sometimes assists in the kitchen. This is not your typical Chinese restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant is warm and inviting. There is parking at the rear with entrance at the left side of the building. Enjoyed the sweet and sour pork and the chicken chow mein. For appetizers enjoyed the pot stickers and the wontons filled with crab and cream cheese. It was delicious and authentic! The food is off the chart, with a great variety. Exceptional wine list, especially for a Chinese restaurant, lots of good choices. There are very decent selections at the bar also.
