I wish they were more up front about ONLY being vegan/plant based. No where on google or a quick glance on the website said they were. I was forced to have macadamia milk in my coffee as I have an intolerence to most non dairy milk (first time having macademia milk). I am a sweet coffee drinker and the brown sugar cold brew was bland and she offered to make it sweeter but I did not even like the taste of the coffee itself. The crumb donut was amazing though so I will give them that.

Delicious vegan coffee shop. The dirty chai with ginger was amazing along with all the food! The Oh Mega donut is naturally gluten free and reminds me of a delicious banana/pumpkin bread.

Love this cafe! Just stopped by for the first time on my roadtrip. Great variety of caffeinated drinks, smoothie, and other bottled drinks. I got a matcha latte with macadamia milk, so smooth and nutty, without overpowering the matcha. Also they have an extensive and curated menu for food. The carrot miso salad is so so delicious. The fresh and balanced ingredients along with the unique miso dressing made me genuinely feel delighted and thankful!

Rooted has delicious avocado toast and other vegan options. I stop in here after my trail runs on Mt. Diablo. I highly recommend them.
Great atmosphere with delicious coffee and matcha, plus a wonderful selection of gluten-free and dairy-free options. The café has beautiful mural art on the wall that’s worth admiring, and it’s a cool spot to meet friends or get work done on your laptop.
This time, I decided to sit outdoors and wished the area was kept a bit cleaner—there were dusty counters with bird droppings and leaves. The restroom also had some issues with flushing. Hopefully, these small things can be improved, because overall, Rooted Coffee Co. is a fantastic place that I always enjoy visiting.

The toast was unique, delicious, and very satisfying. Wish they had a little more variety on the menu as it felt like all the dishes were just a different form of chickpea smash. Also surprised they don’t have some fresh juices. Everything they did have was great though

We LOVE Rooted. No where else make Avacado Toast like here. The combination of the bread, the cashew cream cheese the way they mash the avocado. The hemp seeds on top. Yum! Yum! And for spicy people they have red chili flakes. The staff are always friendly, they laugh at my old lady jokes!!
