First Japanese restaurant for me. I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent food, service and atmosphere.
Absolutely loved the experience from start to finish.
Clean environment, great tasting sushi, and service was helpful. I highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Tanoshi Japanese Bistro is an excellent place for good, high-quality, and delicious sushi. The restaurant is clean and well-appointed. It offers a plethora of excellent vegetarian options and well thought out veggie sushi, with well balanced palates and decent portion sizes. Real crab is available for a surcharge. The staff are friendly, attentive, and kind, providing excellent and quick service. The garlic edamame is a great start. It is a new favorite sushi place in the Concord/Walnut Creek area, and a place where diners will happily return.
