This place has great service and amazing food. It’s great to get a sushi place that as such a great variety of rolls even for vegetarians. Can’t wait to go back.

I have been going here ever since they opened and the service is always the best.
The food is alway great and so much to choose from on their menu. Definitely a must try if you haven’t yet.

Food is good and the portion is generous for the price, although during peak hours, they are severely understaffed with only a couple of servers covering the entire floor. It’s understandable since the crowd packs in for a tight window and then clears out completely, but service naturally suffers. I've been here twice so far and both times they were not welcoming or attentive at all.

Tanoshi Japanese Bistro is an excellent place for good, high-quality, and delicious sushi. The restaurant is clean and well-appointed. It offers a plethora of excellent vegetarian options and well thought out veggie sushi, with well balanced palates and decent portion sizes. Real crab is available for a surcharge. The staff are friendly, attentive, and kind, providing excellent and quick service. The garlic edamame is a great start. It is a new favorite sushi place in the Concord/Walnut Creek area, and a place where diners will happily return.
