I remember trying their food from their food truck sometime, but today couldn't see their truck behind west valley mall tracy. Phone line message says they are yet to find new place

You have great bbq, but your so unpredictable and customers can't rely on your business to be there. So much potential wasted.

The Taste of Texas Barbecue...WOW!
I came down to Tracy to see my pal Arlo Washington, better known as Speer Chucker to his friends, at the Davenport Center where he's putting his famous collection of 18th and 19th century African Tribal art up for auction through some big auction house. It was quite a great set up, but not quite as great as the huge Porterhouse Chop and Ranch Beans, and burnt ends we had from the Taste of Texas Barbecue.
The food was amazingly delicious!
5 ☆☆☆☆☆'s and worth the drive from Napa!

Well I am surprised I’m giving a 5 star bbq review in CA (only this place & Horn in Oakland measures up to the BBQ grew up on TX. Proper fine chopped bark folded into the chopped brisket. I am not a cheese in sausage fan typically but the jalapeño cheese sausage works in the burrito. This place sells out… which is what you want… get there early…. Leave some banana pudding for others please

The ladies working were very friendly, great customer service. I ordered pull pork sandwich, which had a nice flavor and macaroni & cheese. The mac & cheese had a piece of hair in it, I took it back right away and they did apologize and offered us another item. We chose the brisket, it was tender but lacked a bit of seasoning.

The ribs are excellent. They're always out of links the three occasions I've come. The brisket is also amazing

3 stars but could be at least 4 if I get a sausage or they update their menu

I went here because I wanted some bbq. I wasn't let down. The brisket sandwich I ordered was great! The meat was smoked perfectly, it had flavor, it was tender and now it's gone. I ate the whole thing. Very very yummy. When I'm in Tracy, I will go here again. Check it out you will be pleasantly surprised. Get here before lunch their meats go quick. I was lucky I got here around 12:30 and was able to get the brisket sandwich only. Keep up the good work Texas bbq!!!

I tried this place out two weeks ago. The ribs were so good so much flavor. The brisket was so moist. Everything tastes great and I loved the beach. The beans were so good. I almost want to go back just to grab some beans. Thank you for all your hard work in hospitality.

I am baffled by the positive reviews here. I'm concluding 2 reasons for the positive reviews:
1. Individuals don't know what actual BBQ tastes like or
2. Just friends of the business

My experience:
We got 3 items, brisket, sausage & coleslaw.
Brisket: Brisket is supposed to melt in your mouth, buttery and smooth. This was the opposite. The skin was soft, but the meat itself was not; it was dense, dry, thick cut, and did not melt in the mouth. We didn't eat it, $40+ wasted.
Susage: It was ok. The skin was extremely hard to chew.
Coleslaw: The only item that tasted decent.

Unless I went to the wrong spot or got the wrong meats, this place is mediocre at best. I recommend that the owners visit real BBQ locations to learn how briskets are cooked and what their taste, texture, and consistency should be.

I am glad I didn't spend $350+ for their Christmas & or New Year's meals, would have regretted it.

Best BbQ I have had in Northern California! They catered several events that I was hosting, and all the attendees were raving about the food. We ordered the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs and they all were perfect. They delivered the food on time and were extremely helpful for setup. The family that owns and operates this business are truly amazing and sweet people. Definitely try them out!
