I finally tried Boba Chew Chew on a Saturday night around 8 PM. We weren’t super hungry, just wanted snacks and drinks. The Chicken Katsu was sold out (not surprising since they were closing soon), so we got Bulgogi Rice, popcorn chicken, and fries. We also ordered a Matcha Milk Tea with oat milk and a Strawberry Dairy-Free Milk Tea. The drinks were weak and flavorless, especially the milk tea with oatmilk substitute, definitely not worth $7.45. The food was just okay. Even though we live close by, it was lukewarm by the time we got home. The Bulgogi Rice and popcorn chicken looked basic, like store-bought stuff. The fries were nothing special.

The café itself is cute, and we liked taking pictures there. But it’s not family-friendly—no high chairs or restroom, so we took our food to go. Overall, Boba Chew Chew was mediocre. The food and drinks weren’t worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re just there to hang out.

Delicious bobas and friendly staffs.

I hate that the price for a MilkTea is $7-9 dollars! 🙄 A milk tea should not be that expensive! This place is the only place in that area with such high prices

We visited here because I heard they have daily specials. This gem use to be Lollicup. Same management but I’m glad they’re independent now.

Parking: They’re located in a large yet busy plaza. Finding a spot can be a hit or miss.

Ambiance/Environment: I absolutely love the interior! Super clean and bright. They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating. You’re literally transported to a London train station. Peep all the details! I was also told the luggage is actually from London!

Service: Shout out to Sam and Nolan! Sam was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us their most popular recommendations & some tips about the drinks. Nolan was courteous, quick, & efficient!

Food & drinks: Their daily specials alternate everyday at a constant price of $8.95. We visited on a Wednesday night, and they had their tofu + milk tea or Thai tea special. I’m not a tofu fan, but we decided to try their other foods.

1) Matcha cheesecake - My favorite! The matcha is sweet, and the cheesecake foam was sooo good!

2) Thai milk tea w/ boba - I really enjoyed this! There was an equal amount of tea and creamer. It was more on the sweeter side, but you can adjust the sweetness level.

3) Milk tea w/ boba - This tasted as expected. Can’t mess up a basic milk tea. I got regular boba, and it wasn’t too chewy.

4) Orange Creamsicle - This was shockingly not orange lol. The taste reminded me of a cream soda. It’s perfect when you pair it with a savory food item.

5) Blueberry yogurt - Yummm! It tasted exactly as it sounds. The blueberry flavor definitely came through, and the consistency wasn’t too thick.

6) Cookie butter cold brew - I’m not a cold brew person either bc I don’t like watered down coffee. This was actually decent. I heavily mixed the cookie butter, and it gave it some flavor.

7) Mozzarella sticks - The cheese pull went crazy. If you love cheese, this is the perfect appetizer for you.

8) Gyozas - These were pan seared and filled with meat. The outer portion was very crispy.

9) Chicken & fries - Popcorn chicken served with crinkled fries. They don’t season it, so make sure you ask for some spice. I sprinkled the spicy seasoning all over the chicken & fries. I wished they hand tossed it.

10) Bulgogi fries - Sooo cheesy and delicious! The bulgogi sat on the crinkled fries with a generous amount of cheese on top.

11) Chew Chew Katsu - My favorite dish! The katsu was absolutely crispyyy. There was a generous amount of rice & lettuce. Make sure to dip! The creamy mayo sauce was our fav!

Pricing: Average prices for boba nowadays $$. I really like the theme. The drinks are fun and sweet. The food was perfect as snacks but could use some seasoning.

My final review of 2025 goes to Boba Chew Chew, the cutest little boba shop tucked away in a strip mall near the local college. It’s easy to see why it’s so popular with the college crowd.

The ambiance here is what really stands out to me—it feels like you’re in a cozy train station, which adds such a unique charm to the experience.

I tried the Thai Tea with boba, and while it was absolutely delicious, I do wish they offered more size options. At over $7 for just one size, it’s a bit on the pricey side. Overall, though, it’s a lovely spot.

Prices are somewhat on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.

I’m deeply saddened and disturbed by an experience I had at this location tonight(writing this as I'm sitting in your second booth nearest to the wanderlust sign). While I was working on a test for school after receiving my order, I overheard the two baristas, who were on the clock and in uniform, having a drawn conversation, gossiping about women they know who had recently experienced miscarriages. Their comments were cruel and incredibly insensitive, with statements like, "maybe if they took care of themselves, they wouldn't miscarry."

As someone who has just gone through a miscarriage myself, hearing this kind of hurtful and thoughtless gossip in such a public space was heartbreaking. The conversation was loud enough and went on long enough that I had to retake a timed online test for school because I couldn’t concentrate.

I have supported BCC since 2021 when campus reopened post pandemic, and have been coming since. I now live all the way in the High Desert and still would make it a point to stop in when I'm in the are out of all other boba shops. supported on tiktok, IG, etc... reccomended to peers and professors. I was truly a fan!

It’s shocking to hear employees of any establishment speak this way about such a deeply personal and painful topic, especially while representing their workplace. I hope the management takes this as an opportunity to remind their staff of the importance of compassion and professionalism. This experience has made it clear that this isn’t a space I feel comfortable supporting anymore.

Be blessed.

The boba is really expensive, especially for the taste. I got the strawberry matcha and it was over eight dollars just for that. It also tasted bad, and I would not be drinking it if I didn't feel bad for spending 8 dollars on it. Don't come here if you're not a billionaire.

Tried ordering but had a few questions regarding the menu. The cashier, who i believe was also the owner, was visibly annoyed and dismissive. The drink I got was lukewarm and overall unsatisfactory. I can’t with 100% say it was a result of this establishment, but I did fall ill that evening. The conditions of the store definitely weren’t the cleanest, and the personal hygiene of the owner leads me to believe that health/safety precautions of the store are also not the best. Definitely will not be returning
