We found Serenissima on a list of wineries in the area. Read a few reviews and decided we should go. As a bonus, they were open on a Wednesday, when we were passing through on our way home from Borrego Springs. I’m glad we stopped. We drove from Palm Springs to the Palomar observatory, and decided to stop by La Serenissima on the way back. It's located about a 1/4 mile off the road on a gravel drive, surrounded by grape fields. Tony met us and gave a wonderful tasting of several of the wines that they grow and process 100% on site. Tony shared the history of the place, and the wines were great. We bought 2 bottles to take with us.
