A wonderful oasis with great people & great wine!
What a fabulous winery. The venue is so comfy and the wine is elegant.
Skip the fancy shmancy and come here for the excellent wine! We were given such a fantastic tasting experience and left feeling like family and so grateful we stopped by!
Shadow Mountain Vineyards and Winery, located in the picturesque foothills of Southern California, offers a charming and intimate wine-tasting experience. Known for its handcrafted, estate-grown wines, the family-owned winery provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere for visitors. With stunning views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards, it's a perfect spot to savor unique wines, enjoy peaceful surroundings, and learn about the winemaking process from passionate vintners. A hidden gem for wine lovers seeking a relaxed and authentic experience.
Super nice! Even at 90 degrees, plenty of cool places to enjoy the scenery. Great spot!
It was a beautiful day for a Sunday drive and Shadow mountain our destination. The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. You may bring in picnics and the day we went Desert Crossing was playing music in the tented patio. Their style of music is folk rock with an 80s vibe. We opted for a bottle to enjoy with our food and was steered to the Nebbiolo which paired perfectly. It was light with berry notes and great on a hot day. Many wines to choose from from this decades old winery. This is the fourth iteration of this winery. You can taste by the glass or purchase by the bottle. Looking forward to trying their other wines.
Beautiful winery, great wines and very nice staff. Julie and Stuart are great!

LOVE their perfectly-balanced wines, their friendly, welcoming staff--Jackie & Julie, the ambience, and the whole experience here! Compared to the other nearby wine tasting rooms, this one is by far the winner!Don't miss Shadow Mountain Winery!Highly recommend!
Peaceful, relaxing experience. Live music!
great wines. really love the Malbec
Passed by from Murrieta to Borrego Springs so many times, and finally stopped today... Verdict... Should've stopped many moons ago...too used to the proximity of the Temecula wineries... But got reminded today that a smaller winery has such a better vibe and you actually get to talk to owners who know their wines... Slow down, taste, talk, enjoy... Tasted the whites today.... Loved a 2018 Viognier and totally surprised by a Dry Muscat... Ready to go again and try the reds next time... Nice grounds and music. Overall a great experience at the end of a day poking around in the desert looking at cactus and assorted wildflowers.
My girlfriend and I stopped by this magical place yesterday. It was something out of a fairytale. Everybody was very friendly, even the people outside enjoying wine next to us were friendly. The bathrooms were very clean. I could’ve stayed all day long just looking out at the beautiful mountains and enjoying some live music. I would make the trip here from the city of San Diego any day. It is so much better than going to a busy winery in Temecula. I can’t wait to go back! Do yourself a favor and support this business!! It is a little getaway tucked in the mountains with some delicious wine. I even got a bottle named after my dog Gus!
