We've driven by this place a few times, when we go to Cheers, and swear that "We'll try it NEXT time." On a Saturday morning, trying to figure what to eat, and what's actually open in the area. Came in, seated right away. Friendly service. Open seating area, well lit, and clean. Service was prompt and friendly. They played OLD SCHOOL Cantonese music, which was nice. Seriously feels very Hong Kong. We ordered the wonton noodle soup, and asked for roast duck. Very tasty. Good portion, and they gave us the "good part" of duck, not the bone and inedible pieces. I ordered the chicken steak with egg. It came with pasta noodle soup with luncheon meat, which was typical nothing special soup. However, I didn't expect it, so it was a nice addition. The broth was very light and felt good on a cold morning. There's a special breakfast menu. You can add on various dishes from anywhere from $1-$5, so we opted to add on curry fish ball ($4). It was good! PLENTY of food, so we took some home. Oh, and both our dishes came with a free drink (lemon iced tea, coffee, or HK style milk tea). Overall, I think we found our new HK breakfast cafe that actually opens "early." 0900 is early for West Covina standards. Otherwise, we would have to drive over to Rosemead, El Monte, Alhambra, San Gabriel, or Monterey Park for Asian food that opens earlier. The menu had everything you would usually find at an Asian cafe. Definitely coming back.

Our favorite menus are back! Roast duck and roast pork! Plus they have dimsum now. We tried the dumpling and siomai. It was so juicy and it taste soo good!

I thought I was in the wrong place the first time I came here. Where were they? Where was their red and black sign? I drove all around the Tokyo Central/Fitness 19 parking lot before I realized there is no Delicious Food Corner signage. Their signage says DFC Express. When I first saw it, I thought "Delaware Fried Chicken?" This location has been going through growing pains. I'm not sure why they called themselve express. The food choices are supposedly less, but not by much. The waiter there told me the first time I went that they had to relocate the kitchen cooking staff to their newer Rowland Heights location, and that their Cantonese food like noodles and congee would be coming back when they moved around their chefs. Their Cantonese food has come back. I've tried their German pork knuckle, pork chops, chicken steaks and their seafood chow mein. Their food is okay. The pork knuckle is enough for 2 people to share. The meat is cut into pieces for easy eating. The meat is flavorful. I don't like their pork chops with lemongrass. Maybe if they didn't use lemongrass, I would like it more. Their chicken steak was a large piece of thigh that is marinated and fried. It is pretty good with their black pepper sauce. Ordering is easy online. It makes me lazy that I don't have to call in and use my bad Chinese, nor do I have to go in to order and wait. One of the waiters now recognizes my face. DFC Express had been a good place to me. I keep on finding myself returning.

Giving this place 2 stars because I really appreciate the people working at this location. I've visited this location since they opened pretty regularly because I've always liked the food from their other locations. With that being said, I'm feeling the food quality has took a nose dive in the past 3-4 months. I'm confused on the direction the owner is taking with this particular spot. They took out so many classic dishes from the menu initially and then added them back but the quality isn't the same as before. And the Chinese bbq items aren't back, such a shame. Today I ordered a baked cheese pork chop over fried rice. The fried rice is moist, way over sauced, and the cheese is no where to be seen. It's there but it's like 1/5 of the amount they usually put on this dish. I really hope they do well. Fix whatever is causing issues in the kitchen please. We need a good Hong Kong style cafe in West Covina to thrive.

I ordered the Satay Beef soup...the broth was delicious but they put some rancid pineapple chunks in it...I will never order it again... I also tried their chicken feet...it was ok....I also order the Crispy Taro with shrimp spring roll....delicious!!!

Good ingredients. Well prepared. Service continues to improve like faster order turnaround, accuracy, and staff friendliness. It's a good neighborhood comfort food eatery.

Love the food. Coming from Northern California where Cantonese cafe are stingy and average tasting, this place is a dream. We finished every dish we ordered. And we ordered a lot. Unlimited delicious lemon ice tea refill is more than a bonus. We were part of 9. Then we went next door supermarket to enjoy some shopping. I forgot to mention we were celebrating end of 2023, and coming around 2024 right now 6 AM. I am ready to go 24 hot fitness

This is a pretty good place for Chinese food. I'm glad it's close by so I can grab it quick and easy! The black pepper beef udon was good and tasty. We also tried the salt and pepper wings, love the flavors here too. Overall, a good place and plenty of parking. You can opt to go or eat there. Can't wait to try other dishes!

It was good place to eat until they changed their menu and took out a lot of the good stuff including the roasted pork and sausages. Not a good move for a "new" restaurant.

Oh, I just found out they have the Chinese items back on the menu. They said they added them back in about 2 weeks ago. Yay!! I can go there again!

Raised the price, smaller portions (especially the curry beef, they used a smaller container, like 25% less curry than before and raised the price, crazy!), and not tasted as good. Do not recommend! This is not the good old Delicious Food Corner, it only uses its name and try to scam you thinking it is still good. Save your money, don't go here.

The food was dreadful. We ordered tomato sauce baked pork chops, beef stew curry, and fried chicken, but could barely manage to finish 30% of the dishes. The tomato sauce tasted like it was poured from a cheap can, akin to what you'd find in a food bank, and it tasted overwhelmingly of salt and nothing else. The chicken wings seemed as though they had been marinated in salt for an entire week. Similarly, the beef stew didn't taste fresh at all; it resembled leftovers that had been cooked weeks ago and simply reheated in the microwave. I would recommend avoiding this place.

THEY HAVE CONGEE FINALLY!!! Just happened to be browsing the grubhub app for congee and this place came up. I was like NO WAY!! I quickly ordered some and tried it upon delivery, it was very good. Comparable to the Rosemead location! The app didn't let you choose a free breakfast side but my orders came with Chinese donut and pineapple bun so they must have selected randomly. Finally finally, a good congee in West Covina!

We tried this place yesterday. A friend had recommended the one in Rowland Heights, but this location is much closer to us. It's in the same shopping complex where Tokyo Central is. They have a promo where for $ 30.00 order, you can get 1 item out of 5 choices for a very good discount! Since there were 3 of us, it was very easy to avail of the promo. We ordered the porkchop with tomato sauce with spaghetti, Yang Chow fried rice, garlic chicken wings & and shrimp n chives dumplings. Its wonderful to know that they serve like 6 basic dimsum. The food was good n we were checking other tables so we know what to order next time. We especially like the chicken wings!Service is amazing!!! All the staff are attentive n helpful! Everyone that likes dimsum.n Hongkong style food should check this out! Btw, each locations menu has a slight difference. So if you're craving for something im particular, it might be a good idea to call n make sure that location has it. Will definitely go back!
