It bridges the gap between comforting Southeast Asian street food and laid-back Pacific flavors. The food is good, the owners are welcoming, and the prices are crazy good for the portions. The absolute standout on the menu is the local Indonesian laksa. The broth is rich, aromatic, perfectly creamy from the coconut milk, and carries just the right amount of spicy kick. Packed with fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked noodles, it is the ultimate comfort food. The Hawaiian options are equally fantastic. From perfectly seasoned, classic plate lunches to savory meats, the portions are generous. The fried chicken is super good - crispy outside and juicy inside with great flavor. The mie ayam jamur reminds of the version had growing up. The dried noodle came with pork barbaque or famous name Bakmi Bangka was good, chili paste was very spicy. The shop itself has a very clean, straightforward, and welcoming neighborhood environment. The counter service is friendly, quick, and efficient. The only minor downside is that the seating area is on the smaller side, so it can fill up quickly during peak lunch and dinner rushes.
